Happy Friday. No plans tonight but tomorrow night we're going out with another couple to a comedy club. We love that!

Tomorrow during the day we're going to the Chili Cookoff here in our town.

That's about it!

Tonight I'm going to finish cleaning the garage, my life is an endless cycle of excitement, LOL.

Saturday I plant to put the screens in the doors becuase next week it's supposed to snow and I like to tempt fate. Plus, I need to rake the lawn, get the leaves off my lilies of the valleys so they can pop up, and the windows are filthy and the deck needs to be scrubbed.

Sunday is the farm, the chicken coop needs cleaning and Dad wants me to move a bunch of stuff he tossed into the old "milk house" because now he's decided to put the chickens in there, there would be a bit more shelter and easier to get to in the winter to feed and water.

I'm still waiting for calf #2, and I'd love to find some time to groom Cope and take a ride. I also promised Amanda I'd help her put up some fence for Sadie, so she has more room to run.

I'm still short a secretary, another one has decided to take vacation next week and one's off today, "female bonding" with her mother and sisters (read that as yard sales).

I just wish my boss would go home so I can leave and get this weekend started. Depending on the weather, I will do yard work that does not involve any lifting (back)or house cleanup.

Yeah! The boss just said she is packing up. I'll be right on her heels. Have a good one!

Annie...as I was reading you post I kept thinking...May 10 is only two weeks off. I'm so excited for you and Elery.

No big plans here. I have to work tomorrow, guess I'm on call, lol. I'm actually not on the schedule yet. I've got so much to do before the 'season' really gets underway...

So Happy Friday to all....hope the weather is nice where you are at, I'm keeping an eye on the storms in the mid-west. There's tornadoes and snow storms... so stay safe.

Dinner at friends house tonight and just working around the house the rest of the weekend. I should tackle my garage, too.

I've got a dentist appointment tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. Then, DH & I are looking at a couple houses I previewed earlier this week. Hopefully, we'll get some time in the garden before the sprinkles start. It looks like all next week is going to be showery.

Sunday, we absolutely have to get all of the papers from DFIL's estate organized & filed. The estate's been closed for several months & we've still got piles of stuff laying around. It's driving me nuts!

I'm trying to decide if I'm going to NY with DH on Sunday. The lupus pain is still BAD. I decided to give Prednisone another try. Started this morning. After the reaction I had last time I'm a bit anxious. Gotta get this pain lowered though so I'm being brave.

We are looking forward to the weekend's NFL Draft! We have an open invitation to one of our friends' homes where every year we have a big food fest and see who goes where for the draft.

And, we might have a grand staying over, and if we do, we are happily staying home and doing things with her.

My one DDIL is less than the D on the front of the DIL and I think has crossed the line into insanity with this pregnancy. Can a woman do that?

Yesterday she called me and was hyper to the manic level and didn't make a whole lot of sense. I really didn't understand what she was talking about. I finally started asking questions and she said she wanted to go to the zoo. At that hour, at 4pm in the day. I told her that it was kind of late and I thought the zoo (which is in another town a few hours away from her) might be closing soon and she should call and get their hours. She went beserk! She started screaming at me and hysterically saying that her friends hate her little girl and they hate us and they hate our son (her husband) and how she is sick and tired of nobody listening to her. And, she just went off crying and screaming to a point I could not understand her. I asked her if she wanted to call me back or if she wanted us to go over and help her out. She started this loud high pitched scream talking and I couldn't understand a word she said and she hung-up on me. I called our son immediately and told him that she was really upset, that I wasn't sure what I did, but he might want to go home a little early.

He called this morning and asked if we could take care of their little girl this weekend. I didn't ask what was going on, and he didn't mention it.

So, we are open to be a granny and a papa if needed! I am now really concerned for our granddaughter. I am starting to think that she is the butt end of her mother's instabiity issues. There are some signs that are making me sit up and pay attention anyway. Especially now that my (D)DIL told me that her friends hate her daughter and her husband.

There is a Mental Illness hotline I think. I might give them a call and see what is what. I am not sure this is just her hormones or if she has "turned a corner" mentally.

I've missed the party here for some time so I hope I can buy the next round and join in again now that business and life are slowly starting to slow down a little. This city living is keeping me very busy lately.

I have a pool service coming tomorrow to open the pool and explain all of this stuff to me. It's been many years since I maintained a pool. I'm going to try and do it myself and see how it goes. I may be calling them back to maintain it if all doesn't go well...lol.

The rest of the weekend will be planting flowers, moving most of my plants in the house outside, and shopping for trees to replace the ones I lost in the ice storm. I need to start doing some painting too but not sure that will happpen....need to buy the paint first!

I'm may call aroud and check on a cleaning service too...man this place is hard to keep up with compared to my little cabin on the lake.
