facebook warning!!!!

Facebook users do not open any link to a connection to join $4.99 a month fee for facebook users..it is a vicious, virus that takes you to a site that is abominable..don't go there. I just got notice of it and want to pass it along...Haven't even had time to check out snopes yet..

Hello Everyone, Joey, What a beautiful display of gorgeous pictures. I just really enjoyed the show of all of the great pics. As i was looking, i was thinking i love this one, then the next pic...and then the next!!! They are fabulous! My favorite is the royal and especially the CIDP. I would love to have one of those. What do you do for protection during the winter for them? How long had the CIDP been in the ground? Love the layout of your backyard and what you have done to the front beds as well! Facebook is great for sharing with friends, but is a terrible place to post photos you wish to share with a broader audience. I'm on facebook, but the only way I can see your photos there is if you leave them open to the public since were not "friends" there. Personally, I leave hardly any portions of my profile open to the public on facebook, for security reasons, and, well its my personal profile, and mainly people I am friends with on there, I know personally in real life. I'm not sure I would want strangers / the general public to be able to go through all my personal photos which also contain photos of close personal friends either. Probably a better place to put them for the purposes of sharing them on places like Garden Web, or any other public forum would be a free photo sharing sites like Photobucket, Flickr, or Picasaweb. That said, I too look forward to seeing your photos! Please post them here! As the old message board Icon saying goes... "THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICTURES!"

not either or, but both just keep both and use them each for full scans but always update them, they are fine together and with your antivirus since they are only running when you choose to run a scan, don't run them both at exactly the same time of course. this is layered protection which is the ultimate way to keep a pc safe and clean. If you don't have spywareblaster that one should be added also. just update it once a week or 2 let it get the latest definitions, hit the enable all protection button and the shield will turn green thats it no scans it just sits there and protects your surfing, no need to change any settings leave it just as it comes default. SpywareBlaster be sure to get the free one, when you click on the download free button it will open a new page offering the trial version for the pay just ignore that and select to continue with the free download.

See, because we live in the US, we miss out on some fabulous commercials. This was done in the UK, where humor is a bit more raunchy. I thought it was funny....anyone else catch the toot at the end? :) Classic!

So my understanding is that there will not really be a charge for Facebook use, and the links on that fake warning contain a virus.

Glenda....because there are may clever hoaxes out there, and Snopes.com is the best way to check them out.

Another note on this....if you ever get a pop up box on a web site that has an ad or what looks like gibberish (but nothing to do with the page contents) and Continue or Cancel buttons - do NOT click on them.
Instead, to close it, click on the X in the upper right corner of the box.

A lot of clever thieves out there.

Why always check Snopes you ask? Because Snopes will (usually) tell you whether the rumor (alert, warning, whatever) is true or false or somewhere in-between. Checking Snopes first tells you whether it is, in fact, something to be worried about or not. Why keep proliferating and getting people on alert if there's nothing to it? (Sort of like yelling "fire" in a crowded theater).

Somewhat less potentially disastrous than yelling, "Fire!!" in a crowded theatre, which can cause nearly immediate death by trampling to quite a number of people.

Let's keep things in perspective: a pain in the ass isn't quite similar to lying in a coffin (even if one may have chosen to get burned after being put into it: then it's the worker at the crematorium that says, "Fire").
