Well, speaking from experience, I can tell you that there are three types of cannabis. Cannabis cannabis is the industrial "rope" plant. No THC at all. Cannabis sativa is the columbian/Mexican type that is a staple in a drug user's life. Most Marijuana falls in this category. Canabis Indica is the Skunky smelling kind that everyone grows in the home garden and indoors, mainly due to it's strength and taste. If you never notice it growing before, that means it was probably put there, either by someone or something. I have seen a plant spring up when someone dropped a seed while preparing to smoke outdoors, but to have several, the mother must have gone to seed(meaning it was there at the end of last growing season) or it was put there. Being that you are a Fed official, I would question that someone may have been pulling a joke on you(Think neighborhood hoodlums).

It's interesting reading all of the responses here. My take on the advertisement is this: The message is clearly aimed at married men. Think of it from the perspective of a married man. "You're wife wants me". It's a sucker punch of a statement. Designed to evoke all kinds of emotional responses and get men's adrenalin pumping. At the same time, it's promoting a material good that can be bought. It plays on men's hope that women can be wooed through gifts (and they'll get... other things in return). It may be a little sexist, but I think probably more from the perspective that underneath the humor it's sort of subversively trying to convince men that they need to buy new kitchens for their wives or her eyes might start wandering to *other* things she wants. "You know you want me!" doesn't work, because the guy doesn't really *want* the kitchen (well, maybe he does, but those guys are already potential customers). The target of this ad are men who can be persuaded that buying a new kitchen will raise their standing in their wives eyes relative to other men.

Perfect example of the art and frustrations of parsing kids' taste in literature. Oddly, I remember being "forced" to read some books in third grade for a book report, and I really didn't want to. They were biographies and I couldn't imagine how Ralph Bunche and Galileo could have had interesting lives, (I know!). I learned the lesson of stretching myself when it came to reading, and picking "outside the box" books and giving them a chance. Also not judging a book by its cover, since Ralph Bunche in a grey suit didn't convey the amazing achievements of the man, and nothing says, "dead boring old guy" like a painting of Galileo. I became a fan of both men though, after reading the books. I scratch my head when I think of some of my choices back then, I was all over the board. Still am I guess.

I remembered more. Or rather, I was REMINDED of them. On my nights off i was watching QVCs Christmas in July. It was already annoying how the women kept on and on and on about the items. But the thing that set my teeth on edge was the fact that they referred to everything as a "piece." "This piece would make a lovely gift. This piece will be treasured for generations. Piece piece piece piece piece." Aaaaa! Why cant they say "this ornament" "this carousel " this tree" whatever. I HATE that. People do that for everything. Watch HGTV and see how many times a couch is referred to as a "piece." A PIECE OF WHAT???? And speaking of HGTV, what's with everyone calling rooms or yards or garages "spaces???" It a room. Or a yard. Or a garage. Buzzwords. So irritating. Oh,.and the QVC ladies used "gift" as a verb no less than 83000 times in the 20 minutes or so i watched. I get it now. It really is obnoxious.
