That's the best story I've heard in ages, it's so amazing. I'm a Habs fan and we have a healthy rivalry with the Bruins, it's always been that way. Many Boston fans drive to Montreal for important games, and vice versa.

So young to be going through all this and Crohn's, I will certainly send positive vibes your way and his way for thursday. Keep us posted !!

What a sweet story! Im so glad your little guy won the stick. That was too precious. So sorry he's got such an awful health issue, but maybe having his prize stick will help ease some of the colonoscopy ordeal

Very dear friends of ours live outside of Boston. The husband has Crohn's disease (has had it for years). If you ever want to pick his brains let me know. I am sure he'd be glad to pass along any info he can.

Thank you all! We are very lucky that Finn is being treated at Mass General - we'd be hard pressed to find a better hospital for his needs. We actually watched the Bruins win the Cup from the 17th floor of Mass Gen :)

I am not looking forward to starting Finn on the prep tomorrow morning. He was a trooper last time, but prep sucks!

What a sweet story and what a sweet little boy you seem to have! So young to be diagnosed with crohns. My husband has crohns so we can relate to what you all are going through. Prayers going up for your little one.

That IS a sweet story! I can just feel the happiness you had for your son! My DS (8 years old) plays on a baseball team in the fall, and there is one little boy who has not hit the ball with the bat in 5 games, until last night! I was so happy for him and his parents! Each time he got up to bat before then, I just could feel the pain for him not hitting the ball. I just love little stinky little boys anyway!

I love hearing stories like this. I truly believe it's proof that our loved ones lost are still with us, just in a different way.

A very dear friend of mine lost her toddler son years ago in an accident. We attended a tricky tray together last year and one of the tickets had her late son's birthday as the last 3 numbers. Wouldn't you know, she won a Star Wars basket with that very ticket. Her living son is a huge Star Wars fan. Coincidence? I truly don't believe it was.

I will pray for your son and his health and that all goes well with his colonoscopy.

Finn did SO great yesterday. He's so brave. Watching your baby go limp (with anesthesia) is terrifying. But, we got some good news. His severe inflammation is down to mild, which means his current meds are working, which means he won't be moved to the "heavy hitter" meds (immunosuppressants). He does have a fistula and will probably need minor surgery, but that's further down the road. He had a tough time with recovery and was in a lot of pain right up until dinner time (procedure was at 10:00), but when he snapped out of it he SNAPPED OUT OF IT! He was up running around with his brother, eating, etc. He even wanted to go to school today. I'm so proud of him it makes my heart ache.

I'm sure you wish you could change places with your son. I am so happy everything went well. I will continue to keep your family in my thoughts. Others have been doing this for me, and I am convinced it works!
