LOST- I'm looking forward to the final season on 2/2

The final season of LOST starts Tuesday 2/2. I'm really looking forward to watching how the writers manage to wrap things up. They've admitted that there will still be some themes that won't be explained. I just hope we don't discover that this was all just something that Bob Newhart was dreaming about or that it was the invention of an autistic child (St. Elsewhere).

Anyone else addicted to this series? I just don't want to feel like I've wasted my time.

I lost interest in the show after about the 4th or 5th hiatus..lol. My daughter is very eager to see the last season - I hope it doesn't end up being a wasted investment of time. If they resolve some of the issues, I guess that's the best we can hope for.

My daughter is obsessed with it!! She already told me she wants a Dharma (sp?) uniform for Halloween. Got to start thinking about how to accomplish that LOL. Anyone know if Walmart sells khaki long sleeve junpsuits??

Made the adjustments Sat night but now I can't get the dang thing started to see if it helped; something's amiss. Looks like I may need to start a new thread to figure it out but just to throw it out here since it's the same machine and MIGHT be related: First off, the starter gear has to be manually engaged to the flywheel by turning it til it rises up to the flywheel teeth before turning the key to crank the starter, because something inside is not making it come up to engage the flywheel when you turn the key. Usually it will turn the engine over just fine from there but the engine will not fire up until you move the throttle to RUN from CHOKE. But it DOES fire slowly at first, then runs. So now all of a sudden, it is barely firing (a couple pops at most) and then the starter gear drops down and spins (ie does not turn the engine flywheel) as soon as it starts to fire, making me think it is not firing enough times to catch and run. So next question: does this sound like a starter problem (it has started the engine just fine several times so far this season), or possibly not enough current from the battery to the starter (battery has been put on a charger a couple times and may also be due for bi-annual replacement), or a fuel/air system problem? It seems to be getting fuel just fine; pulled and cleaned the plug and the wire head contact (which was rusty inside) to be sure it was getting good spark. So could also be the wire itself. The plug was somewhat fouled which also makes me wonder about ANOTHER oddity just recently noticed; hubby thinks it may be throwing oil when running because I have topped the oil off several times this season and it's always low next time out. But no sign of leaks underneath anywhere. WTH. It does not seem to be burning oil; no smoke when it runs. I have already run it several times this season and other than the drive issue haven't had any trouble til now... On the starting issue my gut feeling is the starter and/or the battery needs replacement again. Obviously the starter is not working right but it HAS been functional enough as described to get it running until I can afford a new one. OK, shoot me down now... I am really just trying to get an idea of the likely culprit(s) to start on so I don't end up replacing everything before I solve the problem (unless that's needed). And then when I can get it started i can return to the original issue of drive power. grr.

Love the current season of Call the Midwife but miss Chummy. The latest episode was so touching. Ded, I have a DVR so I can tape both Mad Men and The Bletchley Circle. I haven't yet watched Sunday's episode of Bletchley, but did see Mad Men. I'd almost given up on Mad Men as I wasn't crazy about so far this season but Sunday night's episode was GREAT! I'm so glad I didn't give up on it. I watched about 15 minutes of Selfridge but didn't like it at all. I love Jeremy Piven but didn't take to him in that role. I reserved at the library the book that Call the Midwife is based on and can't wait to get it.

Kat, Hubby got to go to that game...and a few guys from his work came too...(since they live or work in Bothell).. One or both of the younger two had a LL game..hence why I didn't get to go.. I'll remember to come "tell you" if he gets that rotation again. For the few days before that game that he knew he was starting...he kept muttering "I'm gonna pitch on the same mound Felix has pitched on"...LOL He ended up going about 6 innings...but threw ALOT of pitches...over 80..I was a little peeved about that! He ended up pitching over 80 again only a few days later...and then couldn't barely throw a ball for 3 weeks! I was really peeved after the second game!!! oh and then about a week later the catcher got cleated across the hand..and had to come out..Kian went in and was told not to make the throw to second...Yeah like that's gonna happen...He ended up having to "make the throw" twice...and he was dead on..but it was VERY painful! I'm going to have a "little" talk with the new coach.. Those pitching situations are NOT to happen again! They had their preseason meeting for Baseball..one of the "slots" was what position do you play..Kian wrote "all"..the new coach pulled him aside at a work out and said..what do you mean all...Kian said I can play all the spots (doesn't happen to much that kids can do that) He's not that great at 2nd because he's got a hell of an arm..and easily over throws..and he doesn't like to "chase" stuff down in outfield...so the Coach says..okay if I was going to pay you to play what position would it be..Pitcher was Kees reply...Okay good...that's what I wanted to hear...But likely he'll play 1st when not pitching, because our 1st baseman is out this year, he dislocated his shoulder AGAIN. But he's a great catcher too.

YAY Janet! I'm thrilled you got the home you wanted! Lynn, how do you like having a microwave in drawer form? I think the favorite thing in our home is the laundry on the second level with the bedrooms. I have a few more things to do to it before I take pix to share how I've organized it's space. The only way it could be better was if empty hangers appeared magically when I needed them. I also love having a walk in pantry for storing all our food and larger season pans, crock pots and toaster oven. Another part of our kitchen I love is that on one side of the cabinets are to the counter. Two having outlets in them. One has the coffee pot and blender. The other has the toaster and mini food processor. We also have a huge attic for storage. Right now we are using the basement since we've not finished the flooring in the attic yet. With the cooler weather coming we'll be doing that soon. Then we'll be able to spread out our wood work shop that's in the basement. Our garage is six foot deeper than a standard two car garage giving hubby room for a workbench, four large storage cabinet, two smaller ones and room to store our rider mower and huge snow blower you need out in the country. Oh, and each bedroom has it's own bathroom with vanity for storage (ours has twelve drawers) and their own walk in closet. Weird as this sounds, there's no linen closet. For some reason when I was making changes to the plans to make it fit our lifestyle more I never noticed until it was too late. I found a solution that I like even better though. I store each rooms linens in an under the bed roll out storage container.

we watched the first two seasons. We used to love it. But then they started saying it was a NEW show, when it was just rehashing old stuff.. that was iritating, so we would change the channel. Then they changed it to 10 oclock and we just stopped watching. we never did find out what the big white polar bear kind of animal was! lol I wouldn't have a clue about anything on it now. But I will be willing to find a site that might give us a one page summary after the final season! lol

I was hooked on it for awhile and then lost interest because I could not follow the plot. Check out MSN home page. They have a video-5 Lost seasons in 5 minutes. Kind of funny but it helped a little so guess I'll check out the first episode.

I'm there with you mcmann! I am a LOST junkie. And I very rarely get hooked on a television show. I do not watch anything else faithfully. But I love LOST. Never lost interest. The harder it got to follow, the more I liked it. I am glad it's the final season, though. I'm ready for some closure. I even like watching the "review" shows the started showing, see things I forgot or didn't notice the first time. I think this is the only show I have ever made the effort to see every episode from the beginning. DH can't stand it, won't watch with me. Whatever. I will be watching next Tuesday!

We LOVE LOST! So happy it's time for the final season.

Mystery, romance, drama, humor, ancient mythology, science fiction, time warp, hunky guys and cute girls -- what more could we want in a show?

I'm addicted, too. I'm with Stephanie_in_ga - the more complicated they make it, the more I like it. I only wish Walt were more a part of things; he showed such great promise.

Do you all ever read this site? The people there are obsessed! (I'm obsessed, too, but I forget lots of details.)
