Philadelphia gets healthier

Interesting article by Mark Bittman in the NYT about Philadelphia's attempt to bring healthy food choices to the "underserved" (read poor and downtrodden) areas of the city.

Yay Philly! Everyone knows that Philadelphia is famous for great food. You can eat at a different fabulous restaurant every day for six months and shop at the RTM here, but healthy food can be hard to find in many neighborhoods. This is a great program to remedy that situation.

I'd love to see the soda tax enacted, too, along with a ban on plastic shopping bags, also known as urban tumbleweed.
