Urgent advice needed: electric baseboard to replace forced hotair

We're in the middle of a kitchen renovation and found that the wall between the kitchen and dining room that was due to come down also held vents feeding forced hot air to two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. The wall had to go and so did the vents. I was given two options by my GC's HVAC guy:

1. Reroute the vents behind the slot for the fridge up through a closet to the attic and then bring the air down through the ceiling in those rooms - cost about $3500

2. Install electric (Hydrosil) baseboard in those three rooms

I'm leaning toward the second option as the additional cost of reworking the vents is pretty high. One bedroom will be my son's, the other is the master. We both like our rooms in the mid to high 60's at night. We live in Massachusetts.

Greatly appreciate thoughts about the above and especially any alternatives. I think I have about 12-24 hours to come up with an answer!

Thanks,

E
