Pulled (my hair out) Pork

Why did I think I could glacier roast a 10 lb pork shoulder in my toaster oven and then take it out 8 hrs later and not bathe the entire kitchen in "came out the side of the heavy duty foil" pork juice?

I just wanted to make pulled pork for tomorrow so I wouldn't have to cook and all I did was give myself a 45 minute late night exercise in how to clean an au jus tsunami from behind the stove, off the cabinets and out of the grout. Why did I not think that the packet would be chock full o juices! OY!

After that I think a quick fork shred and quickie juice would be nice - anyone have a quickie pulled pork juice I can assemble in the crock before I head to work tomorrow? sorry for the short notice :(

Oh just go with bottled BBQ sauce mixed with any juice you can salvage!!

Easy!!

Safe.

Oh too bad Sands. Was there any pan juices left? Could you just moisten the meat with a little chicken broth? I'd rather have mine plain that smothered in any kind of bbq sauce.

an easier way fell into my lap, well mail box, really. 2 little boys down the road left a flyer in my mailbox and i'm having them de-weed my garden and re mulch. nice cheap labor. haha. Try to find something similar in your area.

I found it! Went shopping in New Orleans and stopped by Home & Garden in Covington, LA. This store had been written talked about in some of the decorating blogs I frequent. Truly eye candy city. They carry Suzanne Kasler's Hickory Chair line. Absolutely beautiful. I could have stayed there forever. But, after I stopped drooling over the beautiful furniture, I found THE chandelier. I can't wait to hang it and post pictures but, I thought I would share. What do you think? Do you guys like it? Thanks for all the wonderful advice. I'll post pics after I hang it. I also found all my fabric at a great place in New Orleans that has the best prices on Jefferson Linen. I can post if anyone is interested.

Amysrq you are right my inspiration photo is a lot darker. Mouse's Back in my kitchen looks like baby poo. I love the color though but, not in that room with that light. Hardwick White was pretty close too in my kitchen but, it went really khaki green and I was thinking it wouldn't blend with the Blue so I went down the lighter color path. I have seen that kitchen picture everywhere on almost every blog I read. Everyone loves that kitchen I think because it represents a "real" kitchen makeover that we all can relate too. Because no matter how much I want my kitchen to look like the hundreds of inspiration pics I have, unless I start over and have tons of money, it won't ever be. But that pic gives you encouragement that you can make over existing not so special cabinets and make them look fabulous. Thanks for the encouragement. You are right all the F&B colors are beautiful. I'm in love with that paint. I just painted my dining room walls, crown and base boards with Light Blue and it is gourgeous. The kitchen connects to it and that is why I pulled the light blue into the island. If you have any other suggestions throw them my way since it sounds like you are a fellow F&B fan. I have most every color in a sample pot. And I don't feel one bit guilty about it because I have been using them to paint furniture with.

sands, my girls love pulled pork simmered in a sweet tomato-y BBQ sauce. I prefer mine with some sweet relish and no sauce at all.

I would put chicken broth, vegetable broth, or if you don't have those even a little beef broth before I would use anything ketchupy or tomatoey.

If you have any Juices left, mix with Chicken Broth like Ann suggested.
I do that all the time with Pork.

I don't do the Birthday thing anymore .
So I'll wish you a Happy Birthday now.

Fork the Pork, then let someone take you to Dinner, for
your Birthday.

Aargh!!.....BT..DT... BT Teeshirt!
Chicken broth....a small can of tomato sauce, couple Tablespoons of dark brown sugar and 1/4 cup cider vinegar....dash of liquid smoke and lots of finely chopped onions...big dash of hot sauce if you like that.

Gotta up load the pics....but I am cooking BBQ pork loin for the neighbor's graduation party.....for 240.....shes aid!
Doing 60 pounds of pork loin....40 done 20 yet to go...
My house has a lovely aroma of eau d' porc....with a soft over tone of BBQ sauce...

LOL Linda I revisted the pork BBQ this am when I made the mistake of toasting up some Eggos for lil guy. Smelled like a renassaiance faire.
