slow cooking cheeesy potatoes reheating question...please help me

Hi--I really need help. I'm making my first dish ever to bring to a family gathering tomorrow and I decided to make cheesy potatoes in a slow cooker (ingredients are sour cream, cheddar cheese, parmesian cheese, hash browns and 2 cans of cream of chicken soup.) So I followed a recipe to cook it on LOW for 7 hours. I'm at approximately hour 6 right now and I need to know---

DO I COOK THEM FOR THE WHOLE 7 HOURS TODAY OR JUST SHUT THEM OFF NOW, PUT THEM IN THE FRIDGE AND REHEAT TOMORROW FOR AN HOUR IN THE SLOW COOKER (OR IN THE OVEN?) We also need to drive 45 minutes to get to the party tomorrow so I'm wondering how do people do this? Precook day before, refrigerate and reheat in the morning then drive to party and put it in slow cooker there?

Sorry, I'm very inexperienced with this! Thank you for any assistance.
