Heat/AC & Renovation of old house

We are purchasing a 1930 cape that currently has window AC and an oil boiler for steam radiators. Existing boiler needs replacing soon, and we need to add capacity to the system to support finishing the basement, and adding a 15x20 addition.

There is an existing propane tank for the kitchen stove. We'll be doing extensive renovations, we will have about 2800-3000 heated square feet when we're done. Natural gas is not available. We're evaluating these options, and would love some input; thanks in advance for any help you can provide:

1. Convert to hydro air & geothermal and cover heat and AC in one system. Would require that we install ducts, which we don't really want to do. Also, we're both singers and prefer steam heat.

2. Replace current oil boiler with a new one. Install a separate AC solution.

3. Replace existing boiler with a propane steam boiler so that we don't have to keep both oil and propane tanks. Install separate AC system.

3. For separate AC: Central air vs. window units vs. mini splits

4. Can we use radiant floor heating in the addition and the basement and not expand the capacity of our system?
