Thanks so much, everyone! Rookie - you have great taste as well ;) !! I have posted on your pics before and LOVE your space!! I can be flexible on the window location and size around the range and thus the range hood size itself so I will see if I can add more landing space. I am sure that this hood will be very expensive so I'll have to see how that plays... I have been thinking about the landing/enclosure issue for a while and don't want the look to outweigh the function so that has been a big concern. I do love the look of those hoods though and how it would "make" that wall... sigh. Skyedog - thanks for the info on the combustible material (I will look into that!) and the upper cabinets. I'm wondering if I can rework the configuration on the side walls so that there is a single cabinet in the corner and then a double next to it, to avoid the door issue opening towards you... thanks for bringing that up!

I try to accept many of the emails in the spirit in which they are sent, the same as I would a gift. To me it's just not all that important in the big picture, I pick my battles carefully and don't want to make another feel badly or apologetic for thinking of me. Whether it be the Rabbit or the Tortoise and the Hare or the Little Engine that Could, there are many fables that taught me the basic life lessons and I am sure that none of them were based in truth. Sometimes things simply need to be taken at face value for the lessons they give.

Kat, what desk top calendar? I never knew, there was one. My organizer/scheduler is my "desk top calendar". :) I saw it on my sisters computer in France. Loved it, but wanted it in English, to work for me here in Oklahoma. Since they can be had in German and English, I downloaded it. Like I said, I LOVE it. I have the scheduler set up to show three days worth, and it is in the lower left hand corner of my desk top. Middle left I have time zones, to show me the local time for where my loved ones live, right middle I have this month, and next month calendar for reference. In the middle of my screen I have the newest picture of my baby grand daughter of course. :) Moni

Kat, I have been so busy today, I barely remembered to wear my red sweatshirt. I hope you, and all other cancer fighters are continuing to progress, and to have a GREAT year coming at you. Moni
