She sure is up to her tricks! She totally caught me off guard today with a very nice surcie.

She knows I can't get to TJ's very often. She also knows what I have a real weakness for...

I've got it sitting right next to the coffee pot. Just can't decide which to open first.

BTW, the mail person slid down the driveway on the first attempt today, she had to make a second try. After a long winter it's just all ice now. I took this picture yesterday. Kim had me take it to send to her sister.

I tried them for the first time two years ago and loved them so I pulled and pickled all of them and found I did it wrong and had to throw them all out. Planted them again last year but they were bullied by weeds and didn't make it. This year, I am trying yet again - I can't remember if they taste different but I really like the colour. I am a sucker for how foods look!

Awww thanks for asking, I'm hanging in there, how 'bout you? I don't much like/make turkey - so I haven't tried the beer thing yet - but you should go for it and report back! I know some beers come in greater than 12oz cans, I'd try that first if you can find them and think one will fit. Got this 'canon' in a swap from Adele (catlover) - I think thats either a large chicken or a small turkey. Sol dressed it up for me but I didn't save the picture!

Sorry Lou I didn't get back to answer you on this thread. LOL.. yeah.. that's some fish! I do have some corn frozen in the husk but not that much. It was so good this year that I just kept eating it. We had many meals of just corn. Think I only have a dozen or so frozen, but still that will be nice in the middle of winter, eh? Your indoor tomatoes didn't do bad considering. Petra, yes, I do love all the great produce here, but it does get pretty cold. Certainly not as cold as some get, but being between a river and the ocean it gets awfully damp with the cold. It's been warm this week [50's] but it's been so damp it really feels much colder. But I envy your zone 8 because I'd be growing my own citrus for one thing. Betty, I'm looking forward to Christy getting to the Asian produce market and checking out the sweet potato leaves.

The TJ's Sumatra coffee was sent to me last month from my Aunt in Boston, who also sent Meyer lemons from there. It's the BEST Sumatra I've ever tried! I am begging her to send me more, since it's long gone. Enjoy it all, and let me know how the Peaberry tastes too, since I've never had that one. Lucky you, enjoy it all! Jessy, that was a really nice thing to do:-)

Nancy, my driveway looks like yours too, but it's going to go away. Really, it is. The "girls" are laying 8 or 9 eggs a day, a sure sign of spring.

Now, go have a cup of coffee. I wish I were there, I'd bring the coffee cake.
