I'm toying with a recipe..and put it in my crock pot

We love an appetizer called Spicy Chicken Bites..It's easy..might be a Paula D recipe..I'm sure I got it of FoodNetwork web..

Anyway you cube up chicken breast, wrap a piece of bacon around it and roll it in brown sugar and cayenne, then bake till cooked through..

It's soooooo darn good!

I had some BS Chicken Breasts that were on todays dinner menu. I had a pound of Natural Bacon that had a pull date of tommorrow. And I needed something every one would eat for dinner when we get home from baseball in three directions in the wet PNW weather tonight..Bang it hit me..I looked at a few recipes online worth trying..but I knew one or more would baulk at them..And when we walk in everyone is starving, cold and crabby...So the less arguments the better..

I took the chicken and wrapped each piece with 2 pieces of bacon(toothpicks to hold). Six breasts and 1lb of bacon worked out perfectly. Mixed up a bit of brown sugar (couple of handfuls about 1/2-1 t cayenne) Browned the breasts on both sides 3 at a time. Layered in the crock pot 2 per layer, alternating the position (like lincoln logs) on top of each layer very generously sprinkled the brown sugar cayenne mix. (Oh liberaly salted and peppered one side of chicken while browning.) Put the lid on the crock and set it to low. It smells good already!

Now I'm not sure what to serve with it. Whatever will go in the oven on delay, hold bake.
