What pie are you making, or eating.

We are having a pizza pie for dinner and a chocolate pie for dessert.

Next year is super Pi day - 3.14.15 at 9:26 am (or pm)

Darn it! I had some freshly-milled spelt left from making a test batch of a diabetic-friendly version of Irish Oatmeal Cookies for hubby to take to work Monday. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles because there won't be any pie this day. The kitchen is clean and closed for business :-). We're meeting friends for dinner. I'll have to mark my calendar for next year.

Apple, with Cortlands, a new pie apple for me. It's baking right now. I am so pumped about next year!
I usually try to put my pi-pie in the oven at 1:59, but I had to wait until I got home from work today. I haven't celebrated in two years, very excited.
Here's an apple cranberry one I made from 2009.

My son received this as a gift from my sister when he won the Pi contest in middle school. It was a lot of numbers. (Duh, I forget how many LOL) He always came in second the previous two years. Same girl always won, but she was one year older and had graduated!!🤓 Edited to correct, this was in grade school. Fifth. His competition had graduated to middle school!

I did not get the tart made today, sigh. Busy trying to keep my 88 year old father fed and not going stir crazy. I made a pumpkin cranberry muffin batch and had brunch for him with scrambled eggs and sausage, and then later brought pot roast over to his house so that was about all I could muster. I have been feeling crappy for weeks and very tired but I have sinus issues, it's been a problem for quite a while now. My ears ring at a low grade almost constantly, for example, and I'm often battling a headache. I definitely have a lot of time for R&R now. But I'm worried about Dad and he is quite anxious as well so just trying to hold it together. My daily work output seems to be quite low these days . . . my tiredness is not from lack of sleep though, that's for sure.

Homemade pizza !! Yum...two nights in a row :) Crust was fantastic and I used my baking steel to get a lovely bake.

But sorry, a pizza is a pancake, not a pie.

Perhaps not a pie, but if you divide its circumference by its diameter, then it is pi. It's win win with Pi-Day!

Well, far be it from me to interfere with anyone's enjoyment of pie, but DS1 informs me that pi day is next year: 3-14-15.

That said, we have never needed excuses to eat pie.
