I would love your recipes for scalloped potatoes that don't use canned soup or heavy cream, though I might consider half and half. Inclusion of cheese is fine and I would prefer the use of other flavors like garlic or spices. I made a Betty Crocker package mix last night and it tasted fantastic. However, a serving is only a half cup and the sodium content of that small serving is 25 % of the RDA. I didn't mind the salt when I ate the potatoes with ham and lightly steamed asparagus ( I don't salt vegetables), but when I went to refrigerate the leftover potatoes I sneaked a spoonful and was amazed at how salty it tasted! Thanks.
