Hope you enjoyed your transition to adulthood, bwhahaha (some of us haven't grown up yet)!

Your tomatoes are really coming along. I love the look of that La Rosse Paste! Maybe next year I'll try a tomato with an elongated shape. That pleated variety is neat looking too. So far, I've had one oxheart and two tiger tom cherry tomatoes ripen. My dog got to a few yellow pears that were close to ripening, so I haven't had a chance to try those yet. All the rest of the toms are taking their sweet time. Maybe I should fry up some green tomatoes. Nice pumpkins! They grew quickly. I think my gourd plant might have a gourd about half the size of my pinky nail, and my zucchini plants looked completely stunted. I'll have to live vicariously through you for a while ;) Pretty forget-me-nots ... lovely blue. Unfortunately, I forgot to WS my forget-me-nots :) I harvested seeds last year and everything. Lovely bright yellow sunflower.

Thanks!! Yup....I've been 21 for quite a while now LOL! Happy belated B-day to PV and Bonnie too :) Funny my two women neighbors/friends (opposite side of the street) and I have all our B-days back to back. The first falls on the 16th, then mine the 21st and then another on the 29th. Of course we all celebrate from the 16th on LOL! Vera

Thanks again for all the great birthday wishes. My hubby just took me to a fancy local restaurant for a gourmet lunch, with impeccable service- was treated like royalty! Mike, let's see, I seem to remember you giving me about, .....what was it.......39 years! Hey, I know that brug had at least 150-175 blossoms on it- now ya have me competing with Methusala!! LOL! Thanks, Bud!!! I did get a nice birthday present this morning- I unwrapped the moss from around 4 of my cuttings received earlier in January. There is no growth to speak of in the way of leaves but they are growing some very healthy looking roots................. YES!!!!!!! This method works great! Thanks for the love and sharing, all! Thanks everyone for the best wishes. I spent most of the day at work helping to thaw culverts (the melt has started here). Last evening we had my mother,my middle daughter and her husband and kids, my two sisters and their families, my father-in-law, and a friend of my daughter and her kids over for a hamburger barbeque and cake. Giftwise all I got was cash(which is what I requested). Although my daughter, her husband and her friend had a very unique way of giving money. When I got home last night they had a corner of the living room covered with a sheet. When I uncovered it there was a fake tree covered with 50 American 1 dollar bills. They used the American ones because they thought that it would look fuller and better than loonies or five dollar bills. Now who says money doesn't grow on trees LOL!!! This will be all put together to buy some perennials for my yard and some patterns for my shop. I am not sure what kind of perennials yet but will keep everyone posted as to what I buy. Cheers Al

Thank you everyone! I actually didn't have a party per se and it was actually just my parents and best friend (we celebrated on Saturday more or less). My cake was an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen (I took a picture of it, I'll post it later on). We had KFC for lunch and salmon cakes for supper (me and my friend's favorite homemade dish). My mom just picked up a birthday present for me today too (she had to order it): Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe (the book, which as I mentioned before has recipes)! It's been an awesome 21st birthday and one of the best birthdays I can remember in a long time!

On Sunday (the day of), my gram (the one who's cooking I've been talking about) and my uncle came up to have a slice of cake. I also planted seeds (I'm doing winter sowing) for my garden this year (hoping to draw in lots of butterflies).

Jessy, how do you add your favorite forums to your page? I have more than two that I like lol!

Happy Birthday, Brad, it does sound pretty much perfect, I'm glad it was.

And Jessica is right, some of us never grow up. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever. I'm a really good bad example of that, LOL.
