I'm always late... this poor memory of mine! Happy Birthday, Al! With all the help you've given me over the years, I'm hoping you had the best Birthday ever! Laura, those are gorgeous Plumeria blooms! I'm still leery of leaving mine outside... this crazy weather we've been having has me afraid... we could possibly still get a frost or two, so I'm patiently trying to wait! The best present I ever got was all the knowledge I've collected from Al and others... it has served me well, and I'm a much better gardener because of it. So, thank you... and thanks, Al. Thanks again! There's a similar thread on the container forum. On it, I left this little belated birthday joke you can play on a friend or family member if you're a prankster and mailing a card: 1) Buy a belated b-day card. Sign it with the perfunctory apology for being late, but 2) Send it early, so it arrives at least 2 days before the person's b-day. 3) Make sure you emphatically write on the outside of the card, "Do not open until (and write the date 2 days after their birthday)". Thanks everyone for the best wishes. I spent most of the day at work helping to thaw culverts (the melt has started here). Last evening we had my mother,my middle daughter and her husband and kids, my two sisters and their families, my father-in-law, and a friend of my daughter and her kids over for a hamburger barbeque and cake. Giftwise all I got was cash(which is what I requested). Although my daughter, her husband and her friend had a very unique way of giving money. When I got home last night they had a corner of the living room covered with a sheet. When I uncovered it there was a fake tree covered with 50 American 1 dollar bills. They used the American ones because they thought that it would look fuller and better than loonies or five dollar bills. Now who says money doesn't grow on trees LOL!!! This will be all put together to buy some perennials for my yard and some patterns for my shop. I am not sure what kind of perennials yet but will keep everyone posted as to what I buy.

Wow, you got a money tree! I've always wanted one of those. Mind you, our boys already seem to think we have one. ;^)

Glad to hear you had lots of family and friends around for your birthday.....it makes the day that much more special.
