My latest 'finds' (Pics)

I got the little blue enamelled pot from Freecycle. At first I thought it would be good for a small batch of chili, etc, but I soon realized that it makes a great dough-rising bucket!!!

This other pot I picked up at Value Village for $5. It's in fantastic shape, and nice and heavy. I thought coming from Spain, it must be a good pot, but I don't know anything about it. It's large, so it's a good stew, spaghetti, stock pot etc.

Yeah...it was expensive for all of them. But I got the sapodilla from them since PIN couldn't ship them out until a few weeks later and i think they just grafted it not too long. And Top said theirs were fruiting in pots so I got excited and purchased that. Then you get the 5% plus 10% off for the second order over $100. And then their lychees are blooming/fruit size so I got to get it from them since it might take longer from PIN. Well, next time i will order from PIN. I think I still want more....LOL. Better save up my money now....LOL

Kathleen, you're right, Replacements Limited is the place I'd go only if I was desperate for an important piece I couldn't find after a long search. They're definitely not cheap! Gail, too funny! Yes, and I love the hunt! DD: yes, that's what I'm hoping for. Perhaps more patterns will turn up then. Patty cakes: those are so pretty and what a good deal!! Betty & Mo, thanks! VMP: oh my gosh, they do look a lot like my bowls! I'm absolutely floored by the replacement price for yours!! That coffee pot is just exquisite. Neesie, Yes, check your TM. I did call the other two in Albuquerque and neither had any of the fish plates, in any size. I keep thinking about them and may go back and buy the four dinner plates they had tomorrow while I'm in town. I don't know what it is about these plates, but I do like them a lot. Perhaps it's that they remind me of my childhood growing up in Michigan on the lakes. I hope you find some. Luvs, thanks! I'm going to take the brown and white flowered plates back tomorrow. I may use the money to buy four of the fish dinner plates ;^P

Thank you everyone! Before finding this place, I never really decorated for any holiday except Christmas. Ya'll have inspired me! Now if I could just find some more hiding places for the new stuff that somehow finds it's way home with me. My husband says that UPS and Fed Ex have their GPS coordinates set by the location of my house. LOL! Jane, I've discovered the trick for the candy. I just tell my family that they can eat all of it that they want and they don't touch it! But if I tell them "hands off" until after the holiday, they're constantly sneaking behind my back taking candy. Luvs, have you looked on ebay for a matching sugar and creamer for your teapot? Robins, I'm hoping to one day get rid of the hoosier. I live in an older home and that side of the kitchen has no cabinets. The house originally belonged to my husband's grandmother and she had her dining table sitting where I have the island. On the wall where I have the hoosier is where she had her china cabinet so that's why no cabinets. I've been not so subtly hinting to my husband that it's way past time to remodel the kitchen and put cabinets all around the room. I think he's ignoring me.

Thanks for the in put. Appreciate it. I didn't follow any of the rules.lol. I used the serger--quicker; blocks had to have the frame as they didn't square very well;and used fuse applique, and stiched that with the reg. machine. It was designed as it progressed. Have no idea yet were it will end up.

How tall is the St. Stl one? Tall enough for pasta?

Hey, that little enamelled one looks like the "bucket" we used to keep on the counter when I was a kid, it was filled with water and had a ladle, way back before we got indoor plumbing and we still pumped with a pitcher pump!

The other one looks like a nice sized pot. Is it stainless steel? My monitor makes it look like it has a nonstick coating?

At any rate, they were both great deals, good finds for you!

The tall one is definitely tall enough for pasta. It's the size of a large pasta pot (without the strainer). I didn't know it had a non-stick coating....I thought it was the colour of the pot.
I'm still not 100% positive. There no chips, or wear spots anywhere on the inside, that's how I wasn't (and still not sure).

I bought it for browning meat, and making stews and sauces; can never have enough tall pots. If it's nonstick, I'd better not use it for browning (or at least at a high heat!)

Have you tried 'Google' to find that tall pot?

It's hard to tell exactly which one it is,
But from what I found this morning,
it looks like you have a real treasure!
