White mildew/mold on mulch
Comments (4)So is this not harmful to the plants? We've got more rain coming in tomorrow, but I can let the mulch dry out a little after that. It's a bit difficult, since the bed is mostly mulch and it retains moisture very VERY well. I just want to be sure I'm not going to kill off my plants if I do nothing. Thanks for the quick reply!...See MoreWhat's the best way of dealing with mold/mildew in grout lines?
Comments (1)If you are sure that the shower tile was installed correctly, over a waterproof layer, your problem is that the grout is staying damp between showers. The mold is living off of soap scum, dead skin cells and other grime. Clean the shower thoroughly. Use any commercial mildew remover ... follow the directions and repeat the application a couple days later. Do not use the shower between applications. To keep it away: Before you use the shower again, after clearing out all the mold, let it dry thoroughly and seal it with grout sealant. Follow the directions exactly, and seal the entire shower. Repeat as needed. Use the bathroom vent fan after every shower. Don't leave things hanging against the tiles. That traps moisture....See MorePlease recommend a FL washer without mold/mildew problems
Comments (20)I have had the Whirlpool Duet HT 9400 model now for a little over 2 years. I just love my washer and dryer so much and have to thank this site that helped me to figure out what would be best to buy for my situation. I always dry the washer's door when I am not going to doing any more washes that day. I always leave the washer door open slightly to air it out as well as leave the laundry room door open to air it out since my laundry room has no window in it. I learned this from this site 2 years ago. I never cleaned out my washer with bleach and didn't realize I should. should I still if I have no problems? So far, I never had one problem with my very quiet washer and dryer that gets my clothes cleaned and is pretty also. I love being able to fold clothes on the top of them. I did not buy the pedestals since I am not quite 5 feet. I just put a lot of shelves in the laundry room for storage....See MoreMildew/Mold in Air Handling Unit
Comments (3)You have enough good advice on how and what to do,I will speak to the sale of the house. The condition report sellers are asked to fill out open's the door to endless headaches and expense for sellers if a buyer want's to jump on the issues. I suggest checking "unknown,or no" then letting them search for but not test for lead, asbestos and mold if they want to. Everyone agree's mold is in all houses in high humidity areas so I say why ask....See Moreterezosa / terriks
