Anyone w/ Baby Bird & Nest exp?:

DS found a Robins nest in the wisteria beside his swing set the other day and showed it to me yesterday. It has 3 fuzzy baby robins in it. We've been wondering where the nest was because for wks. we always see an adult Robin (male, female?) land on the swing set or fence w/ food in it's mouth.

DS1 hasn't touched it and we've sworn not to tell Crazy (DS2).

I don't want to accidently scare the momma bird away (I saw her sitting in the nest yesterday afternoon after mowing and after the boys were playong there all day) but it's literally only 2' away from the kids swing set and I can't keep the kids off of it for an extended period of time.

When I hear the adult bird making lots of noise I bring the boys inside or make them go out back.

Anyone know how long it takes for the bird to fly the coup? Do robins use the same nest year after year? Any suggestions on how to keep the both the momma (both of us) and the boys happy?
