Comments (66)okay - guys, now HOLD ON! (Gosh...) It WASN'T ME who gardenluv was referring to... GOSH! (LOL) (I got an email asking if it was me...) NO, IT WASN'T... ha ha Gardenluv - where are you?? Tell them it wasn't ME, it was the one-armed... oh never mind... Gosh Carrie...See MoreThank you to the Home Decorating Forum, and I took your advice!
Comments (6)I like it too when people show the "after" pictures, but I understand why it doesn't always happen--those walls were painted before Thanksgiving and it's taken this long. The color is actually a bit off the Audubon, which is more gray-blue-green, but the walls are strictly blue gray. I could have gone a little greener, but I have Buxton Blue where the red wall ends on the other side and didn't want to repeat myself. Silly really, it's a beautiful color. But I am glad the off-white is gone....See MoreTotally OT, as if this forum were ever ON topic
Comments (24)Outside playing, my busyness seems to come and go. But there's nothing like a day spent with other women and my kids' peers to remind me how good I really have it. My kids are healthy even though they're a lot of work (and they aren't little!) my parents are mentally and mostly physically healthy and alive and nearby if frail and 90+, I have a pretty supportive DH, my living room does not have a foot (or 6!) of water in it, I can kind of choose my hours, I don't run my Roomba with a new puppy in the house (has everyone seen that story?) etc. robo, your grandmother is very perceptive! With the caregivers I can go back to being a daughter mostly. My next step is to hire a maintenance service to look after the house (things like checking the gutters and basement and tending to the issues that arrise), because I spent a week mentally berating a sibling for thinking that "that leak isn't so bad" while I sucked up gallons of water with my floor machine. I don't mind the cleaning as much as the berating: one is execise, the other is bad for my spirit. Yes, another option would be to move them out of the house, but who are we kidding? Today, of course, brings a new issue: the hospital wouldn't do a "full admit", but "admit for observation". Argh. Medicare and I have a love-hate relationship. I don't do that kind of bookkeeping well....See MoreHow did this Forum turn into "Decorating"?!
Comments (19)First off.... MERRY CHRISTMAS to all GW-PAINT frequenters "in the hood" here!!!! As mentioned....I wish they would create a "fixed" couple of posts here, & on the Home-Dec forum(s). Many Forums call them "Stickies". I'm in a lot of Forums, & many have a "Sticky" section at the top of all pages. They help direct traffic questions to appropriate Forums. Example..... I'm pretty sure the Woodworking Forum would BLOW UP with complaints if people started posting "I need a bedroom color by tomorrow!!!!" silliness..... I'm just sayin'....... ;-) Faron...See MoreSueb20
