You know how in a plane, they always tell you "put your own oxygen mask on first, THEN help your child/elderly/handicapped? This was one of those days I wonder What Do YOU Know About It? After

spending the morning with DH who traveled to a client and back on 2 hours sleep,

getting DS up to work on his online course (where he is woefully behind),

following up on his IEP for the course (and, surprise, it's summer so no one works on Friday but I expected a decision yesterday),

meeting with a new partner for a school volunteer job,

working on another school volunteer project coming up,

going grocery shopping with DH because he wanted to use HIS credit card (chasing points) (and if you always do the shopping by yourself and one time go with your significant other, you know that issues may arise)

talking Mom, Dad, and their Caregiver through a decision for one of them to go to the ER,

going to the ER (always a minimum of 6 hours, even if it's for a bandaid on a paper cut)

After all of that and starting to feel sorry for myself:

I am reminded that I DID see to myself: made it to my haircut. Thank goodness for my phone: my alarm reminded me to go, and I didn't check my voicemail till AFTER the hair appointment.

Mom is fine, but staying overnight.

Dad is fine, at home with the caregiver.

DS got his extension, "fine" is "tbd"

DH is fast asleep

At 3am, I have Olympics and GardenWeb. Life will be okay.

Love you guys! SWAK!
