Pucker Up, David!

I don't know how I can be so lucky, but I got a package on Saturday, completely unexpected. IT was from David/Lakeguy, and so I was really excited. I opened the box and here's what was inside:

Yes, it's a precious quart of Sharon/Chase's dills, straight from Oklahoma to me. Elery couldn't wait to taste them, I managed to get a picture of this much of one:

Elery says they are perfect pickles, sour and vinegary, very garlicky with just the right amount of dill. He loved them and I think there's one left, LOL.

Thank you, David, my friend, you are a sweetheart indeed and I'd love you even if we hadn't spent that time in the backseat of Roger's car. Of course, you knew that. I don't know what I've done to deserve you, but I'm sure happy to know you. With or without pickles.

I'm sure glad to have gotten the pickles, though. (grin) They are delicious!

OK, now it gets interesting. DAvid says he didn't send them, he thinks they are from Chase/Sharon. But I got an email from Sharon a couple of days ago that said she was in Buffalo and was sending them with a Buffalo address.

So, Sharon's dills are at my house, via Buffalo with an Oklahoma address? (grin) Yup, just like my life, round and round in circles.....

Wow! You're right -- absolute perfection! Focusing on the marble, I'd have never thought that color would work either -- but it's absolutely perfect. Rich, warm, cozy, romantic. And dark enough to tie the whole space together in a way to where your bold accents (rugs, paintings, lamps, etc.) blend into a perfect whole. Next time someone posts reservations about painting a room in a dark color, PLEASE step forward and show these pictures. They illustrate perfectly how a deep color can tie everything together. I just can't see how a light color on those walls could even work -- the contrast would make your space look cluttered.

Thanks Karin. I actually think Reptillian was a gift hosta they sent. It says gift on the tag, and after reading their order form it seems they always send out a freebie. However, that begs the question, What happened to Royal Quilt ? I think it was possibly not sent or I left it in the darn box. Which I checked they boc pretty well before throwing it out. I contacted them and we'll see how it turns out, no big deal.

No those are from me!

I was in Buffalo and mailed them from there because it was so much cheaper than mailing from Canada but I couldn't use a Canadian return address so I thought Clive used Alexa's for yours but he must have used David's.

LOL.. this is just so cute! Love it! Cooking Forum drama and intrigue. Who knew one jar of pickles could have such a mystery. Sharon, you're such a good egg. Bet Clive gets a chuckle out of this too. Love the bitten picture too. That jar just makes me want to drink pickle juice, and with all that garlic, yummm.

Sharon, I should have known they were from you, but I was waiting for a box with Alexa's address on it, so I was confused. I guess it's easy to confuse me.

At any rate, the pickles are already gone and they were delicious!

coconut, I'm lucky I got elery to put that bitten pickles down long enough to take a picturre of it!

Thank you, Sharon, they're delicious. Thank Clive too, for making me stop and think for a minute. Or longer! Hey, remember, you're talking to the woman who was waiting on the wrong train platform in Toronto, so the wrong address on the box is nothing!

I'll pucker up but you STILL owe me a topless ride in that jeep my friend. LOLOLOL. Himself had a good time with those return addys didn't he. Woodie, very tangled indeed....that's what I love about this place... and all y'all!!
