Great feature, ours does that as well. We installed our own garage door openers after we moved in and used Chamberlain 3/4 hp belt drive (If I recall same company, Liftmaser is dealer only side and Chamberlain is for the consumer side). After having a chain garage for so long and just assuming they were all loud, we were pleasantly suprised that we cant even hear the belt drive garage door in the house when its going up/down. After looking at reviews we were just looking for something that was quiet and reliabe. This just happened to have all the bells and whistle(battery back and it even has a fancy time/temp on the display controller in the garage which we werent even looking for) :)

I have 30x30 pole barn with concrete floor, insulated, and electric that I use to weld in and fix mowers. I have 3 acres that I maintain that belongs to me. I also have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, with a 2 car garage home. I really enjoy my shop and have plans on selling and have another one built on 5 acreas with a walkout basement house. That is if I can sell my present house. The shop has really made it eaiser to repair things because of the room I have. It houses my welders, air compressor and tools to do the job. I would like to run a business out of one day maybe.

I've had three already in the past 6 weeks and I've done very well. I'm a plantlady (interiors, businesses, residences etc) and with this economy we have lost a few accounts and some plants were coming back to the office from the leases (most accounts own their plants)and we don't have any room for them there. My boss asked me if I wanted them as he was going to throw them out. I jumped at it and took them home. I had already been giving plants to all of my neighbors and freecycle as I get them all the time when we replace plants but here I had a few dozen 5-8 foot plants so I had my roommate make up a sandwich board type sign with signs and arrows on both sides so peeps could see it coming or going down our main street which is just a few houses down the block. WOW! We had people coming by all day and I sold almost every plant. My roomate was amazed at the traffic. I told him to look for tools he didn't want (he had tons of stuff as he's a special effects guy in the studios) and we'd add another sign to our "plants for sale" sign on the sandwich board and see what happens. Guys like tools and Holy Camoly! We were sooooo busy. I had more plants to sell and we did really well that weekend. The third time it was a mix of stuff, plants and tools. I made close to $1000.00 and Bill made in the area of $2500.00. Not too bad for three days work and we got rid of a lot of stuff just sitting in the garage too. The second time we had the sale I had a big pot of chicken and rice soup on the stove and quite a few peeps were shopping while holding a hot mug of soup :-) It was chilly and damp that day. We had some fun, met some neighbors and city council members and made a few bucks. Patti2

LOVE that garage door link! I forwarded it to my brother. One of his neighbors has a couple of dump trucks. I can just see the big yellow dump truck cross ways of his garage door. Man oh man, I also loved the Tuscan countryside. The only garage door I have is one of those spring loaded thingies, and we have it propped open permanently as shown in this picture: and from the other side: and then I apply my VIRTUAL PAINTER software and get: The two very heavy cypress louvered doors holding up the metal door, were salvaged from the front doors of our river house, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Love this thread, Enigma. And I love your very low key treatment of the door. It goes right by folks if they are not paying attention. That is a good approach, and such a reasonable price too.
