Cupping of new wood floors

I recently had pre-finished solid wood floors installed in a newly purchased condo in Southern CA. The floor had noticeable subsidence and the installer had to use a large amount of floor leveling compound on the plywood sub floor (I am on the second floor) before laying the wood floor. The compound was put down in two applications with 24 hours elapsing between the applications, and an additional 48 hours before laying the floor. In a little less than two weeks, I started to notice cupping, which has gotten worse over the past week. The cupping is primarily over the areas where the leveling compound was laid. Could it be that the compound had not fully dried and moisture is being released? Is the cupping permanent? I'm going to call the installer this week and hopefully have him come out and take a look. Any information or input that you more knowledgeable readers may be able to provide would be a great help.

Thanks in advance.
