I was asked to follow up on Coconut Aminos as an alternative to soy sauce (my son is allergic to soy). Thank you Jessyf for recommending it - I was able to find it at our local Vitamin Shoppe. I used it in a stir fry last night, and it does the job for me! I am not a cooking expert, so I don't know what more refined palettes would have to say. When I opened the bottle, I'd say the scent resembled a combination of soy sauce & sherry. The only ingredients listed are "organic coconut sap aged & blended with sun-dried mineral-rich sea salt." It does not taste anything like coconut, and claims 65% less sodium than soy sauce and very low glycemic. It does need to be refrigerated after opening. I will continue to use this product whenever soy sauce is called for. Thanks again!
