I'm going to the same part of Europe in June and have packed/unpacked my suitcase about 4 times already! :D The one good thing about fashions these days is that many fabrics are very thin so don't take a lot of space. I always find it difficult to pack light so have only bought things that don't take much space. I'm bringing 3 dressy outfits for symphony/dinner evenings as well as 3 outfits that can be dressed up or down. Daytime outfits will be pants (4-5 pair) and tops (one for each day). My pants, skirts, and jackets are neutral but the tops are every color of the rainbow. I couldn't wear all neutral for 2 weeks. Also bringing a sunhat but no umbrella altho that's often recommended. I'll either get wet or buy one there if necessary. Haven't definitely decided on shoes yet but will probably choose from what I have and bring 2-3 pair. I'm saving on weight by bringing only bare necessities in toiletries/make-up. I can shop there for anything I need. It will be fun to see what products are available. We're flying Lufthansa and Bac717 is correct about the smaller luggage sizes and weights. I'm not bringing my carry-on to my set but just a tote bag. It's my one concession to traveling light. My medium suitcase is within their guidelines but expands for any treasures I buy there. I weighed it when I had packed what I thought was enough for the trip and it only weighed 30 pounds and 50 is allowed. Good thing I'm not going in winter! Let's hope the weather is good in June and July!

I just didn't see the passion between Emily and Jef that she had with Ari or even Sean. I think she wants the "family life" that she saw at Jef's home town visit and feels that its a safer choice. I didn't really care for Ari and all the lip locking they did but that could have been presented that way by the editing - just showing all that instead of the deep conversations they had, including talking about Ricki. I hope it works but I don't put much faith in the shows results. Rumors were around that she had met Jef before the show started through Michelle Money, a mutual friend.

Turgenev is new to me, but Iike his quotes, so I must check out his writing. Have to agree with you on Edith Head, especially now, where sizes are all over the place anyhow. Jonas Salk quotes are just right. I think all scientists need imagination. You get stuck on facts only and that would be the end. You need to to see where the accumulated pieces lead to.

I work from home and often wear leggings/tunic when I’m home most of the day because Comfort. They have drawstrings that aren’t really noticeable and I don’t “draw” them. They’re so comfy, light weight, if I wear them with a t-shirt I have that might-be-going-to-the-gym look without looking too sloppy. These pants have gone on several vacations with me. I have the petite size. I also really like Lucky Brand tops. They have prints that are sort of boho but not over the top. Comfy and washable and a lot of them are a good length (I’m only 5’2” and have problems with tops being too long unless they’re petite). They seem to have sales online pretty regularly. Finally, more cotton jersey comfort...the Rosemarie dress from Toad & Co is so versatile. I own two in black and a couple others in different colors.
