imho, i hate microsuede. it's unmistakably fake looking ...and looks cheap. i'm sorry, but i had to be honest. especially since you are comparing PB to a reputable company like lee. i have been dealing with them a lot lately as i purchased two sofas from them (linen slipcovers w/down-feather cushions) as well as a velvet bed for my daughter. both orders were customized: the sofas i chose came with two seat cushions. i prefer one, so they gave me one at no additional charge. the bed is a little different in that i wanted the same height headboard and footboard so it would resemble a day bed. there was a slight up charge but if i remember correctly it was only $100. you should consult with your dealer on any design changes you'd like, or perhaps they could recommend a different model that would satisfy. also: quality aside, i tend to steer clear of the retail chains as they are without fail more expensive. crate & barrel sells lee, but you'll pay a higher markup. as for the durability of microsuede, i can't answer. i'd never drink wine out of a plastic cup either.

We bought the C&B Gather sofa plus ottomon in leather last year.. It is the standard depth sofa and we were not able to sit in that poarticular sofa prior to ordining it. We ran into the typical delays due to supply chain issues (7 months). When it was delivered, the delivery guys dropped the sofa in the street and damaged the leather. C&B ordered a replacement (another three months). Both of us hate this sofa! It is very uncomforatable. I am 5'11" and it is too deep to comfortably site upright. The back cushions are not fastened to the sofa in any way so they are constantly slidding down. Even when pushed back, the do not provide good back support. I cannot sit in this sofa more than an hour or so before I get a backache. I wanted a sofa/ottomon combination rather than buying a sectional for the verstility so it really limited my selection of sofas. This was a big mistake. On tiop of that, dealing with C&B sales, customer support and their finance company was a real nightmare that I will never go through again.

I've had dogs for about 35 years, they are allowed to go anywhere they want in the house except the bed, yes the couches. I struggled for years trying to find a solution to issues dogs create on the couch. Cleanliness being at the top of the list. Ive looked at new couches and quizzed sales folks about dog issues and most have stated that they are easily cleaned. I have friends who have spent tons of money for a supposidly easy to clean couch with doggie residue and they look awful within a year. I used to use neatly tucked sheets on the sitting area but was never really happy with it. Then someone suggested painters drop canvas because of it's durability and you get lots of bang for your buck. I re-covered my 35 year old couch with the stuff (no sewing just lots of fussing) and have a separate piece just for the seat cushions that I wash at least once a week, more if needed. The canvas lasts a long time, looks nice and is cheap. I did buy some nice pillow covers to give things a punch, again easily washed. When the canvas wears out I replace it I'd love to have a beautiful couch, unfortunately I don't think doggies and beautiful couches go well together.
