If you can afford them, Dansko, Sanita and Allegria have some IMO cute non-plain clog-type shoes.

I normally wear Clarks, and I wear clogs/mules in the winter and then sandals in the summer, so I am of little help. However, today I have on plum colored mules. I've also had red.

Mules are a good option. My favorite pair has the toes out. Backless like clogs. Like you, I like a heel.

Oh, should have mentioned, I can't wear Danskos. I've tried -- something about the shape of the shoe and the shape of my foot just does not work!

I can't stand the top of my foot being cold so I seem to go right from boots into sandals. By the time it's warm enough for my foot to be exposed, I might as well wear sandals. I do have a few pairs of mules that provide some top of the foot coverage but they aren't as chunky as clogs so they look a little nicer for the 2 days a year it's too warm for boots but too cold for sandals. They're old so I can't link any pictures to show you what I mean. They held up well because they spent most of their life in the box.

I just spent way too much time looking at Mules on the Nordstrom site. It's great because you can pick by heel height and price range. Maybe you can get some inspiration there.

I'm starting to think about what shoes I'll need for my European vacation. It's complicated - packable, comfortable, good for either hot days or cool rainy ones, the right heel height for my pants, etc.

I like Jambu shoes.

Try Sanita clogs as well. Danskos and Sanitas used to fit exactly the same until the companies ended their relationship and Dansko redesigned the footbed. So Sanitas fit like the "old" Danskos. I can no longer where Danskos, but love my Sanitas.

I bought a pair of Born clogs, style Toby, on Zappos last year...love them. They do have a back, though. I went for a nice brown & it has a little texture to it, so maybe a little dressier? I, also, cannot wear Dansko, so maybe the Born would work for you I notice they also have mule styles, too.

You might what to look on Zappos (as mentioned). I just did a fast search and got lots of hits. Not sure if these meet your criteria. I tried to stay sorta comfort in the spring category. I had a cool snake skin mule and a few others but photobucket is ticking me off.

P.S sorry they are all in the popular spring color of nude or natural. I'm in the market for spring shoes too.

I have never owned a pair of Jimmy Choo's so not sure of the comfort level. But I WOVE THESE SHOES!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Jterrilynn, most of those are dressier than what I'm looking for.

My neighbor also mentioned Jambu and another brand...J14 or J41? Can't remember, but I looked at both online and though they were cute, I didn't find anything that really grabbed me.

I like these a lot, maybe I'll order them. I love this brand of shoe -- always seems to work well with my feet and last forever.
