Help with sofa brands

I am shopping for a new sofa and chair and want a quality well-made product. I've come across 2 brands, Berne and Highland House, which seem to be well made and in my price range. Does anyone have experience with or comments about these manufacturers? Also, this same store carries Mayo brand which the owner said is just a step below the above two brands in quality. Any opinions on this brand too? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a Berne sofa in my office now that is 15 years old. Besides being tired of the fabric it still sits like it's brand new. Just bought a replacement Drexel Heritage (Lillian August)darling curved sofa for $2500 that has managed to cause just about every muscle in my body to ache in just one week. So much for "you get what you pay for".

If it's the same Berne from Indiana that mine is, I looked at one when I was making my decision and wished I would have gone with it.

Yikes, sorry but I was referring to Smith Brothers of Berne.
The store I went to had just discontinued Berne and replaced with Smith Bros from Berne. Confusing isn't it?

I love Lee Industries and The MT Company. Both offer 8-way hand-tied suspension and sturdy frames with a lifetime warranty on both of those features. I have clients with Lee sofas that are 17 years old and they are still going strong - just need new slipcovers!

TY

Since comfort is the most important thing for your needs, you need to go physically to stores and sit on the sofas to find the one that is most comfortable for your needs. Everything about the construction and even style of a sofa will impact how an individual perceives it as "comfortable". The height, the depth of the seat, the height of the back, the materials used for cushions and pillows - even whether it has coils or is higher quality construction all have impact. It is odd that you found a sleeper sofa to be very comfortable as they are generally a compromise in comfort for most people as they have them for function but give up a certain level of comfort. If you have questions about the "quality" of specific brands of sofa that would be different since that is more or less objective.

Been researching this ourselves for our lake house. Temple has a model called "Cover Me"; similar to C&B Willow, but with 8-way hand-tied springs.

I don't know what your price range is, but if you're looking for something that will last forever (or almost) check out Flexsteel. Their stuff is fantastic. I have a love seat from them that's 17 years old and still looks brand new. Two years ago I bought a large sectional from them. I loved that I could customize the pieces and fabrics. The sectional gets daily abuse, big kids, dogs, etc. and it still looks like new.

We have a Highland House sofa that is about 2 years old. It is in the same room with a Wesley Allen sofa...both are super comfortable. I would recommend either brand.

I have no idea where people are located...
I tried Flexsteel's website to find a retailer near me!! :-( So much for living in the boonies!! (But we love it!)
Is there a retailer in Toronto area?
Thanks for any help!
