Like I said, I've always been more of a sprinter! I only run at 8mph for a tenth of a mile, which takes less than 60 seconds. My basic routine is that I split my treadmill time into tenth of a mile segments. I do a total of 5 tenths of a mile at each speed - 5mph, 6 mph and 7mph. I walk for a tenth/mile, which gives me about 90 seconds recovery time between running segments. I add in the 8mph segments if I feel up to it at the end. I have built up my endurance that I can do some of the segments at the lower speed consecutively without walking in between. I always walk (for now) between each 7mph segment. I like to limit my walking to just a tenth of a mile at a time (about 90 seconds recovery time), but sometimes I need longer and walk for .2 mile.

I think the current hood is maybe a little small, but I think it could be made visually larger with lighting and a nice tile especially if you ran the tile to the ceiling, or by adding some contrasting trim to the hood maybe? But someone early on in the thread did a mock up with a big rectangular cabinet hood and it just looks huge and overwhelming in the space, and bland. Plus that would close off the space on the backsplash over the range, so if you choose a tile to add interest, it’s probably not going to show very well, at least with the lights off and with no under hood/cabinet lighting. Here, from earlier: Just looks to me like anytime you were at the range you’d be working in a cave. And the hood dominates the space because it’s so big.

I don't seem to have many in this color range. The first two below are some of my very best daylilies..... TREASURE OF THE SOUTHWEST This one is one of my absolute favorites of my daylilies and I seem to take it's photo the most....it and Jerry Hyatt. (I found at least a dozen shots I took this summer). There are all the colors of a sunset in this one. It makes a tremendous clump that blooms endlessly with multiple scapes and buds, is super-robust and healthy and the substance holds up in the heat and the cold. In the heat it has more coral tones..... in cool weather it takes on more pink tones..... either way, it's gorgeous! SOUTH SEAS This golden oldie can not be beat for both brilliant color, reliable performance, hardiness and vigor. I will never be without this one. VT BETSY Not well known or widely grown, this Olallie late-bloomer will keep pumping out blooms dozens at a time well into September. Narrow grass-like foliage and dainty stems with fluttering blooms that remind me of butterflies in the breeze. RUNNER UPS..... This one could potentially be a favorite in future years. It's relatively new so it hasn't proven itself but the color has the 'wow factor'..... SMOKY MOUNTAIN AUTUMN BITTERSWEET DESTINY This is a daylily I tucked away in an obscure part of the garden and I always mean to move it where it can shine because the color is wonderful.

All the patterned daylilies posted are amazing. I especially like Bow Tie Affair and Stenciled Infusion. Karen, your seedlings are lovely. I hope they have good plants under those beautiful flowers. Here are my best patterns. Geometric Wizard continues to be one of my favorites. It does very well here for a southern-bred daylily. Curious Cutie is from the same hybridizer and I have often wondered if they share genetics. Its biggest fault is that it turns to mush in rain, but Geometric Wizard does not. I Don't Kid is doing well here. The third flower in the background is Purple Maze which is very similar in looks. I love the delicate coloring on Ink and Pink. Four Beasts in One is not well established yet, but I like the looks of it. Oceans Eleven has been in the garden for many years. I love the eye. It often has a metallic look. Here is Get Jiggy in our garden. This is the best pattern we have seen, but we haven't seen it often. Of course, if patterns really show best in cooler weather, we aren't going to see many in west central Indiana. I know I have gone over my limit, but I have to post a pattern we found in a seedling. I didn't expect it as neither parent has a pattern. Nancy
