You know honey...I met him again over the weekend. And it's true what they say about the book being better than the movie.

I like him way better on the phone than in IRL. Let's just leave it at that.

OK, let him go, there are some guys who can make your heart go pitter-pat with their talk, and/or their kiss, but they're not for living with. Hold out for a guy you can spend the rest of your life with. Happy Birthday (did he remember? My ex could never remember my birthday, and we were together 8 years!)!

Ajsmama, he texted me and wished me happy birthday, no card, no email card. I'm so angry about so many things about him, that the Italian in me wants to see him suffer. Wonder what Joe Peshi is doing this weekend? (lol) I better be careful I would hate to get slapped with a slander suit.

I dated a guy like that in high school. He pursued me ruthlessly until I gave in and fell for him. Then once we were dating, he lost interest and we would break up. This cycle would repeat itself throughout my jr and sr years in high school.

Fortunately, I escaped and went away to college where I met my DH. Amazingly enough, high school boyfriend has never married. I think his inability to commit didn't go away as he got older. On the other hand, I've always given him some credit in that he never did get married because he'd probably be divorced 8 times by now.

I hope you meet someone who's deserving of you - you're such a nice, good hearted person.

Okay, I know I have been talking too much lately. Oh... Jane.. baby, say it ain't so. Okay, it ain't so, happy? (lol)

Since Mr. Duvall is out of the picture, along with his six thousand square foot tomb of a house, and his personal shopper and driver. eck!

I need to get back to living and quit licking my wounds. And quite candidly, it was time months ago, enough said.

I've been talking to someone that is more down to earth and more like me, I think. But who knows, I thought Duvall was so much like me and that we were tailor made for one another.

Nevertheless, I am going to met a man that is a spot on for a young Anthony Hopkins. That is if I don't chicken out, I hate dating. If I knew of a stronger word than "hate", it would apply.

At any rate, he is sixty, lives in Chattanooga and has a normal job at the executive level. Which means he is about two hours away in a different state, yeah.

I hope Johnmari isn't shaking her head and saying, I thought this was a decorating site. I know I have been talking too much Mari, but it helps me to get over Duvall.

I hope I am not wearing my welcome out here by talking too much about my personal life.

Now, like I said, I am most interested in you finding someone who is perfect for you. You do have a knack for finding men that resemble famous actors...I wonder if that is a clue to your man picking habits? Isn't Anthony Hopkins Hannibal Lector? Sortof scarey... but he is a handsome man, so I will think of him in his other movies.

Don't think of it as dating, think of it as the first step in a new adventure. He, Mr. Hopkins, :-) sounds like a very nice prospect. Keep an open mind and do not compare him to Mr. Duvall unless it's to remind yourself how Mr. Hopkins has none of Mr. Duvall's irritating habits.

Ok, when are you meeting? How do you do this when he's so far away, does he come to your area and takes you out to dinner? Just worried for your safety!

Oh Carolleah thank you I wasn't sure how people might take this.

I always name people I date after movie stars, so friends can get an idea of how they look. I have dated a couple of Captain Kanoree's too. (lol) So misspelled, I can't spell Kat.

We have only talked a couple of times and he is eager to meet and can't seem to sleep. If he starts throwing up profusely when we meet (my deepest fear) this will be the last time I date anyone.

We haven't set a time when to meet because I want to get to know him a little better, naturally. My niece lives in Cleveland, Tn., which is close to Chattanooga and I may take a visit to see her and him in the near future.

Oh Jane - this is totally off topic but you had mentioned your niece in in Cleveland before and I wanted to share this with you. My brother and SIL live in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, but when they married she was in graduate school at Lee University in Cleveland. In visiting them, I discovered a little antique shop that I just love and we go down every couple of months to check it out. You might want to visit it when you go see your niece. The name is Relics and its just off the same exit you would take for Lee University. Last time we also checked out the antique mall that is right at the TN/GA line and that was a laugh! I have never seen the like of JUNK!

Oh Tina I love that shop and have bought many things from her, including Bernardo for twenty bucks. She has such great prices, doesn't she? She always has great white ironstone dishes and platters and I have bought many of them. One of my favorite is the tea leaf pattern, which she always seems to have plenty of, circa 1890's.

I always drop in on her when I visit, she is a doll.

My niece graduated from Lee College and stayed there. This is a small world, huh?

When you mentioned Mr. Duvall, and before I read that you name the men you date after movie stars, I was thinking, "Holy canoli, she's dating Robert Duvall!". Now I get it LOL. And you now have eyes for Mr. Hopkins. Not bad there, either. If I were single, I'd date Mr. Hopkins (or Mr. Duvall) in a NY minute.
