I'm also a two king pillows with cases and two king pillows with shams user. Everything is white cotton or white matelasse, with a solid yellow quilt folded across the bottom. Our walls are yellow and the bed is against the wall. We have no headboard or footboard. Kitty cat sleeps on the yellow quilt every night. I also relate to your disappointment! I literally cried when my bed was delivered and set up, and called my sister on the phone I was so beside myself! I thought it looked so big and awkward and awful. I concluded I'd made one big honkin' mistake, and couldn't imagine *how* I could make such a thing actually look attractive. I like to ask for Picturs and opinions on the the impact of of a TV lift mount installed in my KItchen Bar Granti top, I am concerned about the effect the Cut out in the granti top will have, look, feel, aesthetic, It is a bar for eating, Drinking, Chilling and I dont know if it is the right thing to do to the surface, But the location would be good just sit on the couch and watch the TV come up from the bar, Centered Perfect, But will i ruin the bar? Has anyone pictures of a cut grantii tV slot?

I wouldn't keep the color scheme, but I think I'd put the TV on the orange wall. The yellow wall would be better in a vacuum, with its high window, but the advantage of the orange is that you could probably arrange it so you can watch from the kitchen too, if so desired. I'd get a long console for underneath it, whether you intend to hang or stand it -- at least 50% bigger than the TV itself. (Not much clue to style here, so not sure what to recommend...) Then you can assemble your furniture to gather around the fireplace and TV -- large couch with back to kitchen, with arm chairs on either side facing in. End tables with lamps, a coffee table, etc.
