Philips/Magnavox rear projection problem

I have a Philips/Magnavox rear projection TV, Model PTV840. I am having convergence problems. Bowed screen Red/Blue/Green colors out of alignment. Cannot adjust this within the Menu under Convergence. Is there a repair kit of parts that I can purchase and install myself that will fix this problem? Thank You for any help you can offer.

You will need 2 stk392-160. Replace on large heat sink. Also check all fusible resistors around the STK's/heatsinks.

I replaced both STKs. They were STK392-110. I also replaced all twelve resistors. Got them from an online store. Magnavox Convergence Repair Kit TV-KIT-008. All the same issues though. What else could it be. Any suspect fuses that may be bad.

I have a Magnavox model 51 MP 938 H/17 projection TV that was purchased 4 years ago. My problem is that all images have a tri colored ghost above and below. It looks like double vision, with the ghosts. My question, is it worth getting fixed? It is only 4 years and I have owned Magnavox TV's that have lasted longer than this one. Thank you for your help.

Pee_Wee, Thank you very much for the help! I looked at the power supply circuit and found one capacitor's solder connection is melted, it is located between two metal plate and labeled 2913. I can not see the value on it. Do you know it's size? I'll take it off tomorrow to see if I can find one in the Radio Shack to replace it and let you know the result. Thanks! William
