Need..Does Anyone Have The Jenn-air complete Cooking Cookbook?

it came with my jennair cook top in the 80s.Im looking for a recipe,hubby is away I want this carrot cake recipe for his birthday cake.

its on page 172.

its a black cookbook it has food on front,bread,shhrimp,eggs,steak

2 cups Ap flour
3/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp soda
3$ tsp BP
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsps cinnamon
1/3 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Dash of cloves
3 eggs
2/3 cups vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
1 1/
1 2/4 cups shredded carrots
2 tsps vanilla
3/4 cups chopped walnuts

9 by 13 greased and floured pan
Mix all ingredients but walnuts at low speed until mixed, beat on high speed for 1 minute, stir in nuts and pour into pan and bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Frost with Cream cheese frosting:
3 oz cream cheese
2
T butter
2 ro 3 T half and half
1'2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups confevctionary sugar
Mix all on high but the half and half...add a spoon at a time until of spreading consistancy...

Anyone have a Jenn-Air Trifecta Dishwasher-Good or Bad?

I usually turn the unit on around 10pm/11pm and the total run time using the Normal or Pots/Pans mode is close to two hours. The way it was explained to me is that during the final rinse (when the liquid rinse aid is dispensed) it heats the water up to a higher temp (since there is an internal water heater in the Miele units). Then when it drains and goes into the drying mode, there is a small fan that activates and draws cool air in from the room and circulates it around the stainless steal cavity of the unit. This causes condensation drying, as the moisture in the dishwasher is drawn to the cooler walls. It does this for about 20 minutes. The next morning when we open the unit up, there is no water or dampness on the door or sides. All the dishes and pans are dry. Cups and glasses are dry (except for any ponding that can occur on their concave bottoms), and all the silverwear is dry in the top cutlery rack. But any plastic/tupperwear containers and their lids will still have water beads all over them and have to be dried by hand. This is because those tupperwear items don't heat up much from the water, so the rinse raid doesn't work well on them.

Jenn-Air Slide Electric Range with Convection - anyone have this?

I bought a Jenn-Air Slide In Range w/ Convection 2 yrs. ago for the lakehouse we built and I love it. Mine is dual fuel, though - electric oven/warmer and gas fueled cooktop. I know it's not an apples-to-apples comparison, but just wanted to offer feedback as regards the Jenn-Air brand. I'd read a lot of negative posts on the Appliance Forum regarding the brand and was a bit skeptical. (Later came to realize there's no brand everyone there agrees is good..) But it had all the features I wanted and the price was right, too. I have a pro range in my home (previous owner had bought it because her son was a chef..) and I like my Jenn-Air just as much. The oven heats up quickly and bakes evenly. Love the warming oven feature, particularly when I'm prepping breakfasts and for evenings when I can have warm (but not dried out) appetizers ready to go when guests come. We've entertained lots at the lake in the past couple years and my stove has had a real workout with several cooks at the helm. I really like mine, haven't had any problems, and would buy another without hesitation.

I've had open burners & sealed burners and I gotta' tell you that I would trade all of the sealed burners cookers in the world for the old 80's era Whirlpool bottom of the line cheapo open burner cooktop that I had in my last house. I just hate sealed burners; they don't cook the same. And they're a PIA to really clean. To clean that ring where the burner is 'sealed', I have to disassemble them. To do that, I have to go hunt down the proper Allen wrench. Just doesn't happen but once every year or three. Any boil-overs are a mess. You basically have to switch burners w/ what you're cooking (unless you want a baked on bigger mess to deal with) and wait for everything to cool down before you can deal w/ the mess. And the self-cleaning feature on my Kenmore quit working after the first time I used it. (The range was 2-3 years old when I bought it second hand when its predecessor kicked the bucket and was non-repairable.) Depending on how much you use the oven, of course, and I don't use mine a whole lot, keeping the oven clean isn't that big of deal. I prefer to clean up little messes when the oven cools rather than letting them accumulate into a cleaning ordeal. For most folks, for most of the time, a 36'' oven is overkill. For that matter, most of the time, a 30'' oven is overkill for me. If I could have my druthers, I would add a 24'' or 27'' wall oven for those little baking chores like a 9 x 13 cake, blueberry muffins, etc. A large Nesco will handle the holiday turkeys... And a lot of people love their toaster ovens. I'm resisting the urge to add another counter top appliance, though...

Carrot cake Julie TÂs
3 eggs
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tsps cinnamon
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple, drained
2 cups grated carrots
1/2 cup raisins chopped with 1 Tablespoon of flour
Buttermilk glaze
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup butter
1 Tblsp light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
Orange Cream Cheese Frosting
1/2 cup softened butter
4 oz softened cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp orange juice
1 tsp grated orange rind
Preheat oven to 350
With a mixer Beat eggs, add oil and buttermilk, sugar and vanilla. beat to combine. Stir together flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda and stir into batter. stir in pineapple, carrots and raisins.
Pour into a greased 8 by 13 pan or 2 greased round 9 inch cake pans. Bake 35 to 45 minutes until set in the middle. Remove from the oven and immediatly spread with the buttermilk glaze. Cool completely and frost with the cream cheese frosting.
Buttermilk glaze:
In a medium sauce pan ( don't use a small pan) combine all ingredients but vanilla. Bring to a boil and cook 3 minutes stirring often...it will bubble a lot. It should be a light caramel color, stir in vanilla and pour over the cake
Cream cheese frosting:
Beat cream cheese and butter until light add vanilla powd. sugar and juice and rind...beat until smooth and frost the cooled cake

1 1/2 tsps vanilla
BUT....the 2nd recipe I posted is better.... really!
