GE Cafe versus Jenn Air Premier Line Pro gas range???
Comments (3)I have the Jenn air pro style all gas slide in range. It's been installed for about 3 weeks, only, so I cannot speak to long term reliability but so far I love it. Great flexibility with the burners--one dual burner (high output -low output/simmer), one very high output burner; one simmer and one moderate size. Rangetop cooking is much improved over my old, nice but basic GE gas cooktop. Oven is great. It seems to work like a dual fuel since the convection function works with an electric element and the bake feature works with gas. The electronics are complicated but I used to have a GE double oven that also looked like it could launch the space shuttle. I had to have the GE control panel replaced for $$$. So, for this one I bought an extended 5 year warranty that covers everything. I can only say: so far so good with the Jenn air range. I really like the flexibility, it cooks fast ...the performance has been good so far....See MoreAnyone have a Jenn-Air 48' range?
Comments (11)NOTHING BUT TROUBLE: I bought a new one...Had it for 4 weeks & they had to replace it. The 2nd one I have had in service now for less than 2 months. Altogether I have had the service team out 6 times all total. 6 times. The unit was professionally installed. The LP Gas conversion was the first issue they said as it didn't work at all correctly. Something wrong with the unit that they simply couldn't fix. Now the Oven doesn't work right and the burners still do not work evenly with "popping" noises and changes in gas flame heights without touching any control buttons. Looks Great! Pretty Stove. But useless if you can't use it - especially for $10k. I bought ours from Fergussons in Nashville TN and their people are unable to do anything - bad service team as their technicians actually use youtube to work on the unit.....that has to be a bad issue. (NOTE: the JennAir matching dishwasher dumps water all over my new floors and cabinets. We had a full kitchen renovation) To say we are unhappy with the product is an understatement and yet it seems we are stuck with it thus far until the next steps whatever they are. Suggesion is IF you buy one....don't pay for it in full and "maybe - just maybe" you'll get better service? Comments (3)I have the Jenn Air pro style range and like it very much. The control pad is a bit complicated but after a couple of weeks I have figured it out and it is easy now to use and remember. THe oven preheats very quickly and the burners are quite powerful...at least for me. If your knobs are rubbing it is simple to correct -- remove the knob , loosen the screw holding the ring around the knob, and shift the ring a little bit up, down or to the side. It may take a couple of tries to be sure the ring is in the right place....See More48” Dual Fuel Range: JennAir Rise vs Thermador Pro Grand
Comments (8)I went with the Thermador. I was pulling the trigger on the JennAir, but they said the model I wanted was still in production and several weeks out from arrival. I was offered a great deal on the floor model Thermador above and decided to go that direction. I had a few issues the first few weeks with the Thermador, but customer service was great and they handled all repairs without question and very quickly. Beyond that, I’ve been using it since October and have really loved it. I know that doesn’t help with your situation of deciding on the JennAir offer you received, but my research on the JennAir seemed very positive....See MoreXLR8R
