Not sure how I stumbled upon this particular video, but I'm glad I did!

A piano & cello version of "Bring him home" from Les-Mis.

It's noted as a Military tribute/wish.

I haven't heard of these guys, but they play beautifully.

That's really lovely. I almost didn't watch because I was worried that it would be filled with pictures that would make me cry.

Also, since it came from you, I was afraid that there might be some head banging. :)

Whhhaaaattt? Y'all don't like S&M by Rihanna??? I nearly crashed my car when I realized what that catchy tune was saying, and it was playing with my 5 and 7 year old daughters in the car. Yep- I agree. Most of the songs on regular radio are completely inappropriate for young children. My daughters know who Lady Gaga is, but my 5 year old will tell anyone who listens that she isn't allowed to see her videos. Speaking of videos, has anyone seen California Girls by Katy Perry?? Good Lord, I was stuck in a cab in Aruba last week with my family and that video was playing on the TV on the back of the head rest. DH and I had to explain the particular outfit with the bra that looks like ice cream with a cherry placed strategically where a nipple would be. My girls were giggling with embarrassment, and my husband was mortified. Thankfully a fun week in Aruba made them forget about it, and there were no more questions about it. I agree with AJ- I let my girls listen to Selena Gomez, Lemonade Mouth and Taylor Swift. They have no interest in Demi Lovato, and thankfully they never really liked Hannah Montana. DD1 loves Adele, beautiful voice, but I need a happy pill after listening. Adele also covered Lovesong by I think it was the Cure, 2nd to last on the CD, it's fantastic. Here's another great song by Taylor Swift: Never Grow up. My girls hear it, and hear the message, and my 7 year old tells me she wants to stay little forever. Melts my heart. With all that said, I will admit, at age 9 I was singing Like a Virgin and sporting lace gloves and black rubber bracelets on my arm, much to my mother's chagrin. And I had NO idea what Madonna was talking about at the time!

thanks g23 for the link to the book... I'll have to check at the mall (Barnes and Noble) to see if they have that book... About 30 some years ago someone in our town thought it would be a good idea to wipe out several of the old buildings downtown and build a mall...The mall failed and the built a new one on the east end of town. Now they are building a new kind of mall...not connected but a bunch of stores in the same area. Several have left the east end mall for the new place. Anyway it just ruined our old town. One of the buildings was a Hotel that Abe Lincoln stayed in when he passed through...several times. patti

Wonderful; and like deee, I'll admit I questioned what I might be opening!

Faron, I just love your soft side, and always look forward to your posts. The ones on Losing Pets really struck me. You bring a wonderful touch to the boards.

It brought me back to this in Britain's Got Talent', which i know became a bit controversial, but I must have re-played this 50 times when I first heard it, and again just now.

Yes...I'm surprised I loved this too, ESPECIALLY since there's no cannons, spandex, explosions, blood (Gene Simmons style), fire/pyro, OR "Big-Hair"!!

Most of the time, I'm a little weird...just ask DW!!

(this may SHOCK everyone here...but I DID love the early days/80's of MTV!!!)

BUT...I DO enjoy beautiful music like in Les-Mis! I love a good stage-play, and rescued some stage-walls for our HS plays in the late 70's! I was VAN-HELSING!!!!!

LOVE going to plays in Chanhassen, MN (a SW suburb of the Twin-Cities) at the Dinner-Theater there. Les-Mis and Sound of Music were wonderful! DW & DD just went to see "Hairspray" there 2 wks ago!

Another version if you haven't seen this. The four main Male singers that sing this are together! You're jaw will drop when Alfie starts....

You're right - it is incredible. I'll admit to watching that one, and several others yesterday after I listened to the first one you posted. I even listened to young Liam McNally from Britain's got Talent singing Danny Boy.
