My husband's youngest brother and wife had a child die of neuroblastoma at 4 months. Thankfully his suffering was not prolonged. They diagnosed him at his 3 month checkup,and he was gone exactly four weeks later.

Wishing her peace and the end to her pain and suffering; wishing comfort and peace to her parents and family as they deal with losing her.

I will hold them in my prayers. Just stunningly sad...

My heart goes out to any parent who must watch their child die, and to any child who must suffer with such a disease. Beautiful little girl, it breaks your heart to think of what this family must be going through. I will add this child and her family to my prayers.

My prayers are with little Layla and her family. I just can't imagine!

Done here too! What a horrible, horrible thing to go through for little Layla and her family. I will be lighting a candle for them today.

I just read yesterday's entry; it does seem like the end is near, she's a sweet little fighter. I can't wrap my head around little people like this having to go through such pain, it just doesn't seem fair.

Done, and I'll keep both her and her family in my prayers. What a heartbreaking thing to go through.

Dear Heavenly Father, may baby Lyla soon find peace with You, and her home in Heaven. We must keep in mind our Heavenly Father must need Lyla more in Heaven than she is needed here on earth. We pray Father, that although it will not be an easy road, please give her loved ones the strength in knowing Lyla was a blessing while on this earth for her short time. Her memories will be lasting and forever a part of their lives. May the hurt from the days to come be delived from their hearts and filled with the joy that they will one day see Lyla again. Amen.

She has touched my life in a way I never thought a "stranger" could.

What a heart warming family! When hard times come, and they will come to all of us, we all have a choice - to become bitter or better. This family has become better! I think what they are going through, has to be the absolute hardest thing anyone goes through in this lifetime. To lose a child???? And to see your child suffer in pain - how do you handle that?? They will have a story to share & I will be waiting to hear their story. This family is in my heart & prayers! Thanks for sharing, binsd.

I have been keeping up with this precious child ever since this was posted. I just read that she went to be with the angels today... praying for her family.

I too have been keeping up with the story of Layla Grace, I even purchased some hair bows for my own precious GD's. (50% went to her charity). I'm praying now for her little soul and her family that must be devastated. She is at peace now with the angels.

She has now passed away. May her soul rest in peace.

My sister was diagnosed with this at age 2, but removing her eye saved her life. I'm so sorry there was no intervention that could save Layla. What a beautiful child.

How brave her parents have been. I hope their fight for their daughter and awareness of this disease will lead to research that may save other children. Such a beautiful baby girl - may she rest in peace and her parents find comfort in knowing that she is no long in pain.

It's hard to understand why things like this happen. But now she is in no pain and with her heavenly father.

DH & I have been crying almost all day about Layla. We've hugged our 2 yr olds hard today, too. I am glad that she is finally pain-free and no longer suffering but I also mourn for the sadness of her young, innocent life and the hurt her parents and sisters must now face.

They are an amazing family for having shared Layla with thousands upon thousands of us.

When my coworker lost her first born son to crib death of course she was devistated. She was visited by other moms who had lost their babies. She was so touched that she too became one of those moms and would visit others. I truly belive that sometimes we are given little angels who touch our lives so that we can help others. It seems so unfair for this family to go through this agony but to share this and use the experience to help others will make the life of Layla Grace that more important. My thoughts and prayers to Layla Grace and her loving family.
