My 20yr DS was just talking about and imitating the kid! I thought is was very weird. My son thinks its a great commercial.

It is kind of weird.

I like toaster strudel, it's quick, hot, tasty, I like the egg ones. Dont eat them often but sometimes it hits the spot.

Boston Cream Pie Toaster Strudel was my breakfast of choice for many years until I retired. It was something that I could eat while getting ready for work. I still eat it on Sunday morning and any other time when a fast breakfast is in order. I never use the topping--I just love it without.

Don't watch television enough to say that I have seen the commercial.

I thought it might be just me, I find him very creepy, kinda Chucky creepy. But then I was really disturbed by the "King" on those Burger King commercials. I assume no one else disliked them because they seemed to be on for quite a while. I haven't seen any recently, thank goodness.

I also was creeped out by the "king". I'm guessing many of us are not the target market which may be why we don't like the commercial.

Don't recall seeing the toaster strudel ad, but I'm another who had to look away when BK ran those King commercials.

Haven't seen the toaster strudel ones, but I agree on the King one - I haven't stopped in a Burger King since. Always picked something else over that option when forced to get fast food.

Oh, thank goodness! I thought I was the only one. Ngraham nailed it for me.....Chucky kinda freaky. Told my husband a couple weeks ago that I wouldn't let that kid into my house for any reason.

The other commercials I can't stand are any that have dancing fools in them. One of the recent pizza ads and H&R Block come to mind. And any ad that has eating or taking aspirin where you can hear them eating or swallowing. All Kmart ads with the exception of the Christmas one just this past season with the guys in boxers shaking their booty to Jingle Bells.

There's a new ad out for Lexus (I think) that shows micro things flying around that I absolutely love. To me, the best original commercial to come out in a long time.

Does anyone miss the Coke bear commercials or Clydesdale ads?

Jenna, the guys in boxers caught my eye this year too :) It did its job.
I find that ads rarely sink in on me. I may watch them & can't tell you 2 minutes later who advertised it or even what the ad involved. So maybe the STepford kid & the Burger KING do what they are supposed to do & get my attention. I did catch right away what they were advertising. But the King doesn't make me want to run out & get a burger from there, quite the opposite. While I prefer toaster strudel to poptarts, I haven't eaten either for years & don't feel the need for one now.

I was able to see the coke bear commercial... in the movie theater. I love love LOVE the AT&T it's not complicated, kid commercials.

I have never seen the ad, but I fast forward through commercials. I just searched for it, though, and all I found was a very short clip. It is very weird, but then, so is the "food" they're advertising.

I didn't find the 'Scandinavian' kid creepy at all. But the commercial is hardly innovative and, well, plain stupid.

However, BK's 'King,' along with his perverted expression, should be locked up in a vault, dumped in the middle of the Pacific ocean, never to see the light of day again. Just a thought.

I was creeped out by the toaster kid too, and hated the BK king. The Jack in the Box guy or whatever he is isn't bad but what's weird is sometimes he's kid sized. I loved the babies for that investment firm, talk about cute.

Is that toaster strudel kid real or is he CGI? There's just something so weird and unreal about him...let alone the way he pronounces "gooey". Definitely creepy.

LOL!! I think the "gooey" issue is the voice actor. The accent fails elsewhere too. He's trying for inspecific Germanic, and ends up with San Fernando Valley bad prank voice.

Perhaps riding the wave of nostalgia for all things cheesy from the 60's/early 70's that is fueling the "Mad Men" craze. Remember the "Swiss Miss" ads with the yodeling? Kinda sad that we have gotten too sophisticated for such things so that now all we can do is do them ironically, with "parentheses." Again, not sure why that would make me buy a toaster strudel. But I have been thinking lately that I need to make me up some real ones with pie crust. I love pop tarts but don't like the BHT taste of them and besides they cost too darn much!

Also greatly dislike the TS kid. Like breakfast neo-Nazi showing up uninvited in your kitchen. I don't think the Swiss Miss was that offensive. Maybe a bit silly, but not offensive.

The bearded Campbell's kid is stupid and gross. Doesn't work at all. The king was similarly bad.

CokaCola seems to bring the bears out only for the holidays now. The Clydesdales seem to come out around the holidays or maybe just Super Bowl season.
