I developed this recipe after testing it about five times. It's pretty close to perfect!

If you love biscuits, and possess the ability to make them, you're gonna LOVE this recipe:

PECAN BROWN SUGAR RAISIN BISCUITS

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 Tblsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/4 cup light brown sugar

5 Tblsp. cold butter, cut into Tblsp.-sized pieces

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted

1/2 cup raisins, plumped in boiling water & well drained

To toast pecans: place in a pan in 250° F. oven for 10 minutes.

For scones: Preheat oven to 425° F. In food processor, combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and brown sugar. Pulse to combine. Put butter pieces into food processor. Pulse until butter is the size of small peas. Pour mixture into mixing bowl. In a cup, combine sour cream & milk until smooth. Pour into dry ingredients and combine just until it comes together. Stir in pecans and raisins. Roll out and cut into biscuits. Place on greased pan. Bake at 425° F. for approx. 15-20 minutes or until well browned.
