electric frying pan challange
Comments (9)lol....I was in on the frying pan exchange on the stained glass and mosaic forum... it was challenging to figure out how to make something out of an old pan but it was amazing what transpired from them... I have an old frypan, too...just sitting here, beckoning for me to find a new purpose for it..lol I can't bring myself to toss it, either..so, I'm sure it's going to be transformed into some kind of planter. either mosaiced or like the others suggested..a cactus planter. the handle can be taken off, with screwdrivers. my brain thinks in a 5th dimention..lol there's nothing I see, that can't be made into at least a couple of other uses... and also, the handle could be handy for hanging it up, if you should decide to make it into a wall/fence decoration for the yard... I just don't do well, with highly maintained and pristine yards...gotta have some whimsy and weirdness added. Becky...See MoreReccommendations for an electric skillet that isn't nonstick?
Comments (0)Hello, I'm looking for an electric frying pan/skillet that isn't nonstick, that has a pan that removes from the electronic parts for easy cleaning. Preferably stainless. I've found 2, the Presto, which got some poor feedback re:quality in Amazon reviews, and another one (forget the name) that didn't remove for cleaning. Haven't been able to find anything except these two. Any recs would be appreciated! Also, if anyone has had good experiences with the Presto, I'd love to hear about them....See MoreUsefulness of electric frying pan
Comments (19)The first thing I ever learned to cook, at about age 5, was pancakes using moms electric frying pan, The kind with the big long handle like a pan and the temp dial and cord on the end, not detachable. That thing got a lot of use over the years. Somebody gifted me a B&D square buffet type many years ago which I used quite often, again for pancakes but also stuff like swiss steak, casseroles. Then I sort of stopped using it, why I don't know, and I use stove top pans now. Naturally being the appliance collector I am I have numerous..in fact I just found this beautiful poppy red one not long ago, unused. It's a GE...See MoreExtra Large Non-Stick Fry Pan
