I agree with you katiec. Because the dog chewed up the boots, I think you SHOULD drag him along to help you find replacements and to buy you lunch. I'm just not sure what restaurant would allow a dog in for lunch, though.

We aren't doing much this weekend...big storm coming in tonight. It's raining now but the wind is going to be 50 to 60 miles an hour by tonight. Snow late and into Sat...
I stocked up on food, have candles out (just in case) and will sleep by the fireplace on a blow-up if need be Tee Hee.

Oh my it's Friday! As I've said before every day is Friday when you are retired but add my geriatric state to the holidays and I have no flippin' idea what day it is!

Meredith flies back to Halifax this Sunday, it's been great having her home, I'll miss her. Tomorrow Dad will take us all out to dinner , Meredith calls it the "Last Supper" LOL ! If Chris is working it will be at his restaurant , if not something a bit classier.

Sunday is the airport run and then I'll start to take down the decorations. I really dislike that job , it's like unloading the dishwasher. As Linda said, nothing is over like Christmas!

Katie, I just finished de-decorating the house, but there are still lights on my front porch because it's COLD here, even for me, and the wind is blowing. Supposed to be 40 and rain tomorrow, though, that's one thing about Michigan weather. If you don't like it today, it'll be different tomorrow!

This weekend? Elery is going to be here tonight, his birthday was Wednesday and we're going in to a local bar/grille for supper and Friday night jazz and blues. Ashley is coming along, she broke up with her boyfriend and wants "something to do". I think she'll last long enough to get fed and then she'll find someplace else to go with her friends, LOL.

Other than that, no plans. We'll go to the farm sometime and visit the Monkey Princess and Bruvver. I took Monday off work so we might take the engagement ring back for the 6 month check. It has a warranty on the diamond, it'll be replaced if lost as long as I take it back every 6 months for a cleaning and to check the prongs. And yes, it's been that long, he bought it about a month before he gave it to me, LOL.

I've hit a little teeny bit of a wall after 6 months of ping pong training. I want to learn more moves, but our instructor is a stickler for practicing the same old forms until we've got them perfect. So we're getting grumbly. Just a tiny bit. Anyway, I bought some sports clothing at the outlet mall in Vegas, but I don't think I bought the right styles. I have {{gwi:1474480}} to keep up with. LOL!

Linda, we're supposed to get some of that weather too - a big rain. And here I am with no umbrella. Better go buy one or two today.

My decorations are down and I've been cleaning and doing a mountain of laundry today. I'll be ready for a 5PM clink!

Tomorrow is my last day of working, I may go in and help to close things up next week. I'm sooooo ready for down time. I plan on going back for another season, unless something else pops up that is better.... I doubt it will and I really like what I'm doing...but the pay is really sucky. I do it to stay active, be with people and ...darn, can't think of the other reasons... to give up summer holidays? No! I'll get over this funky mood... Maybe I should start planning a trip to the south. That would help!

I am having my brother and SM over for brunch on Sunday (overnight casserole, fruit, pastries, assorted chocolates) since neither could make it over the holidays. I was going to have dinner, but SM has to be somewhere at 5pm and I am going in for a sleep study at 8pm. no mimosas for me. :(

Just had him at the doc again for a nebulizer treatment and they gave me an inhaler for him and put him on a different antibiotic. I am still suffering and I finished my antibiotic - think I will take myself to the doctor tomorrow if they can get me in. Just doesn't seem right to be coughing this long. It just keeps hanging in there. Baby is coughing a little but seems fine thankfully. I just feel so bad for the boy!

Stil cleaning out closets. Love my new slimline hangers. Had 3 giant lawn bags for goodwill.

We are a bit stir-crazy here. I hate not being able to do something "physical" - weather it is the playground, boardwalk, or any walk for that matter.

The candles are always ready here, the only thing I do once we get a few flickers is fill up some pitchers of water..I can cook and heat the house (gas)..so the only thing we suffer from is toilet flushing. LOL

Tonight at our house will be homemade pizza and Rush Hour 3. Tomorrow will be a morning of basketball for the boys and Daddy. He coaches the middle sons team and the oldest son coaches the youngest ones team..I just get to watch. J Over course this week, they are playing at the same time. So IÂm with the 2 boys. Then I have a little bit of time to spend collecting registration forms and giving out information for Little League.

Other than that..we donÂt have much planned for the rest of the weekend.

We had a neighborhood gathering this evening. Our next door neighbor hosts it each year the first Friday of the new year. It is always fun. The children this year ranged from 7 months to almost 18(my son). One of the women couldn't make it at the last minute, she went into labor with twins! When we first started going to this party, my son would spend the night playing in the basement with the kids. This year, he spent the entire time chatting with the adults. Of course, there was a lot of good food! Everyone brings a plate of something, I brought taffy apple salad.

It is suppose to rain all weekend here, but the temp. is suppose to be over 40, it was -13 yesterday morning with the wind chill so at least it will be warmer. I'm not doing anything all weekend. I cleaned, did laundry, and cooked today. I get to do whatever I want. I have been told by friends that what I will want is to hide in my room and cry all day, but I think I will want to go shopping! I can't believe that 40 will feel any different from 39 . The big question is what should I have my husband make for dinner? Reservations? Actually, Terri's pizza sounds good about now!

Weather wise it has been horrible here. Bitter cold and the wind has been absolutely brutal. I hate taking my new pups outside as they just coward at my feet. But this weekend it is supposed to be in the high 30s and rain. Can't say as I am looking forward to all this snow melting though!

I just finished a night of baking and I feel great!
