on the old post. Let's see if I can get anyone to understand my problem. The old post answers did not help at all. I am running WindowsXP on IE. I had to do a couple of things that required me to shut down my computer. When I restarted my computer, it did not go to my icons on the screen, but a blue screen came up with somethink like this:

disc scan drive "D". click any key to abort scan and click esc key to get out. the first time I let it do the whole scan. Drive D on my computer was or is an external hard drive back up that I have turned off and removed. I have another external back up installed at the present time. I also had to do a "go back" or what ever you call it and this blue screen with the scan disc check would not let me do a go back as I had to find something that I had removed. would ANYONE know what key I accidently clicked to get this scan to come up every single time I restart my computer and HOW do I keep it from starting up again. Regards, PK, in s.La.
