Any way to avoid markups for extras for an off-site build?

I thought I would pick out a model from a subdivision and ask them to build it on my land with modifications.

One of the modifications would be Geothermal Heating & Cooling, on which they told me there would be an extra 20% or more markup to have it installed by an authorized installer.

Can I somehow have them build the house, then have the authorized installer install it after I close the hose, thus saving those 20% or more?

If I have to pay extra 20%, I won't be able to afford it. Is there a workaround for this or similar things that do not come standard in the subdivision model but would be extras in this off-site build, done by outside installers?
