A tip on Skype video quality

I just replaced my Belkin "Pre-N" router with a Belkin N+ router. The old one seemed to work fine and I had consistent connection speeds of 3 MB. However, whenever I made a call on Skype, the video was never great on any of my wired or wireless computers. I'd get blotchy and pixillated images, and sometimes the picture froze. I tried to fiddle with the settings within Skype, but it never helped. However, now that I've got the new router, my Skype picture quality is really great and the detail is incredible. I have no idea why the old router could process web pages well and quickly, but perform so poorly with Skype. All other video, including streaming movies, worked fine with the old router.

Anyway, I just thought I'd pass along this experience for any of you who are having Skype video problems with an otherwise fast connection.
