Telephone service from your computer. Just plug the modem into your USB port. My cousin just ordered this.

If anyone is interested, I will let you know how he likes it.

Might be good for some....but,if 911 service is important, could be a problem.

Your PC must be powered-up, with your broadband connection (cable, DSL or FIOS), for your phone to be useable.

Also, only supported on XP and Vista operating systems.

Yes, someone mentioned it recently at the Money Saving Tips Forum. I read through the FAQ there, and see one will have a new area code and number.

Q:Can I use my existing phone number as my Magicjack number?

A:Yes, but not yet.

You will be able to transfer or port your existing local phone number to magicJack, for a nominal fee, in the coming months.

I'm left wondering then if all calls 'into' this new magic jack number will be a toll call from my close local friends and neighbors.

A speed of 80 kbps is required.

STUNNING! hbeing - i never thought that the side of the chair could be a divider - how clever. ShadyWillowFarm - such fun to walk instead of using a tape measure. It works - I just moved the chairs and sofa down. lisedv - what should be the length of a “ nice long sideboard” ? Height under 31” to stop at window sill and how wide ? Should it be the width of the window or can it extend beyond? I also note that there is a plant on top of the sideboard - is it ok if it shows in the window? In your amazing floor plan i note that to reversed the nesting tables with the larger one down closer to the tv. Should i do that - reverse the tables? Artwork- was was thinking of one long work of art above the sofa. You have a nice gallery - is that more contemporary? Thanks for all you valuable direction. I have moved the furniture and am presently searching for a sideboard - i was thinking sliding doors for easier access behind the chairs and having the best width would narrow my search. I have one nice work of art but will await more guidance for placement. The room is really beginning to feel cozy. Thank you

I’m having exterior of my house painted, and I’m struggling to picture of what it would look like with the corbels a different color from the body and the trim. The Sherwin-Williams app is driving me crazy. is there an app I can use that will actually show me what it will look like? I’m looking to do SW alabaster white for the body, SW amazing gray for the window, headers, facia, and soffit and trim around the entry, and SW anonymous for the corbels. The hoa has given me approval for the first two but they want to work with me on the corbel color. I’d love to be able to show them a photo of what it would look like.

The bottom of the window should be above the splash zone, roughly the height of the tallest user's head. Take some blue painter tape and mark that height around the current shower including the window. With planning, you can order a window whose lock will be reachable while you stand in the shower and reach up to open the window without losing your balance (in other words, the lock should not be in the middle of the window or along the top). Any shampoo niche should be located where it won't get splashed or drenched by the shower to avoid mold. You will also need a much more effective exhaust fan on a timer. Choose one with a light. Panasonic makes excellent exhaust fans.

I don't see how it can be better than skype. I talk to relatives in Germany and France without paying a penny. Of course, we both have computers, and it all goes over them.

Moni, MagicJack is regular, two-way (incoming and outgoing) phone service and from reviews I read the quality is better. Other information and comparing MagicJack to Skype here. More than anything though is how either one satisfies a person's needs. Skype for you would be better, but not everyone has relatives they communicate with in Germany and France. But if I were you, I would have both Skype for those overseas calls and MagicJack for regular phone to save that 95 percent off my phone bill every year. I'm going to wait and see how my cousin likes it before switching.

Well, since I have a cell phone as well as a land line, and I do all my US based calls from the cell, I am covered. :)

Otherwise, I would check all your info out more.
