Telephone service from your computer. Just plug the modem into your USB port. My cousin just ordered this.

If anyone is interested, I will let you know how he likes it.

Might be good for some....but,if 911 service is important, could be a problem.

Your PC must be powered-up, with your broadband connection (cable, DSL or FIOS), for your phone to be useable.

Also, only supported on XP and Vista operating systems.

Yes, someone mentioned it recently at the Money Saving Tips Forum. I read through the FAQ there, and see one will have a new area code and number.

Q:Can I use my existing phone number as my Magicjack number?

A:Yes, but not yet.

You will be able to transfer or port your existing local phone number to magicJack, for a nominal fee, in the coming months.

I'm left wondering then if all calls 'into' this new magic jack number will be a toll call from my close local friends and neighbors.

A speed of 80 kbps is required.

Hi, I'd just like to mention that KL is something discussed a lot in the bonsai forum, and it's not used because while it's great at first, it breaks down really fast in the soil and becomes mushy and compacted, so it does the opposite of drain quickly, which was the original point of using it. Instead, something that looks just like it (but is high-fired clay) is used, and the generic name is 'turface', but it's sold usually as Schultz Soil Conditioner, or sometimes as 'Profile' (at Canadian Tire in Canada).

We installed both radiant heat in the floors and a large heated towel rack when doing our master bath renovation last year. Would do both again in a heartbeat. The floor definitely heats the bathroom and is so comforting to walk on. It is under large format porcelain tile. My husband made sure with the installer that the heating grid did not leave cold spots near the threshold at the entrance to the bathroom. Worth paying attention to that detail. The heated towel bar is excellent at making sure towels are completely dry. Has made a big difference in our towels feeling fresher between changes.

Whatever you decide, be sure to clean it correctly. We have had a few people here complaining that expensive medicine cabinet mirrors (including Robern) are losing their silvering, turning black at the edges. Then they are told that they never should have used any cleansers on them. No windex, nothing. Water and a clean cloth on that glass and its frame. I ended up with midrange or slightly better, big (almost 40” high by 22” wide) Pottery Barn mirrors with electrical plugs inside them on sale for maybe $800 each. I love having the doors opening on opposite sides so that the inside mirrors on the doors face each other. I can finally see the back and sides of my head.

Thank you so much, Debra, Faye's Lovely Mistake was sent to me in error, and she realized it and sent the correct plant telling me to plant it as it was pretty...but she had misplaced the name and was not able to find it and even afterwards, they just had to "eat" those plants since they didn't know what they were and could not figure it out. I love it and will keep it. Thank you Sherry, I always like it too, and the clumps have been crazy this year. They just don't stop or when one finishes, another has begun. Kate I am so glad it bloomed for you. I knoee not everyone like Crazy Cat Lady but I do so i post it occasionally. Sun Dazzle is just a jewel and it was a bonus. kay

I don't see how it can be better than skype. I talk to relatives in Germany and France without paying a penny. Of course, we both have computers, and it all goes over them.

Moni, MagicJack is regular, two-way (incoming and outgoing) phone service and from reviews I read the quality is better. Other information and comparing MagicJack to Skype here. More than anything though is how either one satisfies a person's needs. Skype for you would be better, but not everyone has relatives they communicate with in Germany and France. But if I were you, I would have both Skype for those overseas calls and MagicJack for regular phone to save that 95 percent off my phone bill every year. I'm going to wait and see how my cousin likes it before switching.

Well, since I have a cell phone as well as a land line, and I do all my US based calls from the cell, I am covered. :)

Otherwise, I would check all your info out more.
