Text size on printing

Hello again - maybe someone could tell me how to make my printer print a little larger. I have a Dell Photo AIO Printer 924 and it always printed in a nice size text. All of a sudden the thing is printing microscopic.

I tried going to the main print center & to IE text size but nothing worked. Please help. Thank you very much. Debbie.

PS. I have Wxp Media Center with all the recommended (by you guys)security stuff.

Try clicking Start/Control panel/Printers and faxes. When that window appears right click on the printer listed and the click Properties. Now carefully look over all the options on all the tabs for something to adjust. My printer offers to print at 100% of original size by default but can be changed. This is the kind of thing you are seeking.

Owbist - thank you so much. That was just what I needed. I think little gremlins change things at night. It's all fixed now. Thanks again. Debbie.

I also use "no squint" and it's great. You can adjust size and color of the text or the size of everything on the monitor. It will also change the colors of the background from that bright white. It really helps with eye strain.

There are a few ways to do this, but they are ALWAYS a bad idea on the web. The web is not a printed publishing medium where you control the final output. There are a million variables including browser, user's eyesight, computer, operating system, location, etc... If you fix the size of the font, then a user with a high resolution display can't easily make it bigger, and will leave. To best get your message out there, it's essential that you don't try to limit your audience; not everyone uses Internet Explorer on Windows. Think _very_ carefully before ever fixing a type size, or really using any other display tricks that will harm the user experience. If you must choose a size, then specify it using relative units so your reader can easily change the size if it ends up too small for them to read.

That is the registry fix worked on 8 but according to posters who have this same problem, says it doesn't work on 8.1. I am going to play around with enlarging every thing and possibly using one of my FF apps to work on the other. I can use it the way it is, it's just one of those things that nags at me and keeps me looking for a fix. I had a problem with personalize/color (taskbar) and kept messing with it until I stumbled on a fix. My taskbar was snow white and didn't match my wallpaper, all the borders were snow white. the option shown below was missing.
