How to Change Text Size

I downloaded Firefox as my new browser and some of the web pages are slightly different from what they were before. How do I change the text size on a site, say Gardenweb, to a larger type? I have highlighted the page, gone under View and changed Text Size to larger and it works, but when I open the page the next time, it is back to the smaller type.

Change your Resolution
Right click your empty screen on your desktop - left click properties - click settings - move slider bar to less - this gives you 800 x 600 - you have 15 seconds to click OK - click Apply - close.
This setting is changed back the same way
For Internet Explorer 6,0
For 7.0 you will need to use the Alt Key to find the old Toolbar.
Start - All programs - Internet Explorer - View Tab - Text size - Largest. Or Smallest Settings that affect your websites.
Under certain conditions you can hold down on the CTRL Key and turn the wheel on your mouse to enlarge print.

I use Firefox, and Ctrl + mousewheel works fine for me on almost all pages to change text size. If you want to change both the text size and the graphics, install the Opera browser which lets you to go from 100% down to 20%, or from 100% up to 1000%.

right click on a blank spot on the toolbar and look for the toolbar options. you may have to go into the display settings and I think it is under an advanced tab but there is a place you can change the dpi to a larger dpi that is what I did on one of my xp machines.

Albert I have the Logitech MX1000 and simply rolling the wheel moves the window up or down. If I press down first then roll the wheel it does change the font size. I should change that because before I had it set so that when I pressed the wheel I could then move the mouse down slightly, release it and the page would continue to scroll. Setting at the speed of reading avoided constantly moving the page with the mouse.

I also use "no squint" and it's great. You can adjust size and color of the text or the size of everything on the monitor. It will also change the colors of the background from that bright white. It really helps with eye strain.

Text size on printing

Try clicking Start/Control panel/Printers and faxes. When that window appears right click on the printer listed and the click Properties. Now carefully look over all the options on all the tabs for something to adjust. My printer offers to print at 100% of original size by default but can be changed. This is the kind of thing you are seeking.

Duh, I figured it out! I used the Ctrl and the mousewheel and it worked. Thank you all for your help.

With Firefox, click Tools/Options/Content/and change the default font or size to anything you want.
