Double check your settings to confirm that they are not being sent to your spam folder in Yahoo. And have the sender double check to make sure that they are not being sent to his junk mail folder (just in case there is a misprint in your address). Sometimes (for reasons unknown) these contacts are inadvertantly mis-checked/spelled for reasons beyond your control. This had happened to me several times when I had Netzero.
Also, had this just started to happen? Have you received from him prior??

Thank you so much for the answer...we have checked all of the junk/spam folders on both ends. Nothing has ever appeared.
The problem just started about 2 months ago...prior to that, we exchanged many emails on a daily basis.
I had him check the address and as it shows on his screen, it is correct.

I have one friend who is on Net Zero, and his emails do not reach my Yahoo account.
My guess then is that your Yahoo email is rejecting either his email addy, or his IP address.

Is he always on the same computer when he emails you? Could he try to email you from somewhere else, to see if it is the IP being rejected by Yahoo?

Might he have another email addy that he could try mailing you from? If he does, and it makes it through to your Yahoo, then the problem lies with Yahoo accepting his Netzero addy.

Yes, he is always emailing from the same computer. I will have him go to a friends and try to send. Thank you for that idea.
He has no other email address...we may have to make a yahoo or gmail address for him.

Here I am again.....
I had him send me an email from a different computer, same netzero address, and it came through perfectly. He receives my emails, but is unable to respond, however, he can email TO and respond TO emails sent from my same computer but a different email address!! I am bumfoozled!! It's like his computer physically can't send to my Yahoo address. If I accidentally had him blocked, I would not have received his email from a different computer. hmmmmmmmmmm

It could be that he has a mistake in your email address that is stored in his computer. Have him try sending an email to you by manually entering your email address on the address line in the message instead of getting the address from his stored list.

However, if he/she used a bad address, he should have gotten a return notice that the "send message" failed unless the 'bad' address matched an actual address of someone else.

Here's another test to try.

Email your friend a message and mark it 'return reply' request. If your friend clicks on the 'reply' verification and you receive that notice, then the 'send' communication from his end is likely in order and the problem is elsewhere.

Mistakes in email addresses (URL) can be subtle and hard to detect. Look for an extra space, a missing space, interchanged adjacent characters, a numeral one for lower case 'l' and vice versa, and case sensitive characters.

I'm not sure how shift-space is handled these days, but I know of one very old system that made use of this character to beguile and mislead probers. The ASCII character, shift-space, is a distinct character and different than a plain 'space', yet both characters are displayed as a 'space'. When this is encountered in a code word, the easiest fix is to delete the word and re-enter the correct one rather than to hunt for hidden 'shift-spaces'.
