Firefox updates-

My wife runs Vista and Firefox 3.xx, and gets updates inviting her to update FF to 8.xx. She is happy enough with the older version, except for some slowness issues I associate with the wireless network (the room she is in gets poor reception for radio, too) and I wonder whether she should fix something that doesn't appear broken.

She also uses Malwarebites, Spywareblaster, and CCleaner and updates them fairly regularly.

She should upgrade simply based on the security updates she is lacking.

that version of firefox is one that is still being supported and they are providing updates for it, I still have it on a couple of mine. But she can always try going to 8 and if she finds it does now work well for her she can go back to the same version she had. Just look at the verison number she has now and write it down so that if she does want to go back we know which version to provide.

I have found that on some of the older computers that the latest version of firefox can cause some issues. I have had to help a few people revert back to the still supported lstest version of 3.xx.

Security should be better of course on the most recent updates of any program.

I updated firefox yesterday without that problem but just tried chrome and the firewall said it was a changed program. I can't remember for sure if I used chrome yesterday before the update.

The DML in in my firefox add-0ns When I go to the links that you have provided, it takes me to the very same page that installed this add-on I have Adobe Flash Player 10.0.22.87 And Adobe Flash player plugin 10.0.42.34 According to the Adobe page, the latest version is 10.0.45.2 I clicked on a picture to enlarge the pic on ebay and this message came up. Sorry, zep. I couldn't find anything that helped. One thing I saw was someone saying: I was able to disable scaling by setting layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1 instead of -1. Now everything looks like it did before the change. It might as well have been written in Greek, because I sure didn't understand what he was saying. I'm thinking of maybe going back to version 21. Some users have remained with FF base v3.0 by personal choice and Mozilla has continued to support it at this time. Thus the availablity of update v3.0.13. The current and most secure version of FF is base v3.5 with now the update v.3.5.2 DA

I've been running FF 8.0 for quite a while without any problems. Three computers and a netbook all XP. No glitches.
